CarMax, Garland TX

Reading these positive reviews you would think it’s a review scam like Amazon. But I did just sold my car here and I can tell you that I would have bought my car here and skip all the hassle with Lone Star Toyota.

Website gave me an estimate of $3400…be right back….

Not that I would discourage anyone buying their car from CarMax but I would never frequent them again. The car I wished ton purchase took extremely too long to arrive. Approximately a month. Then when I came to pick up/purchase the vehicle it was sold to another customer the day before I arrived after paying for it to be transferred. After waiting another 3 weeks to get a suitable replacement the vehicle had no gas cap causing my check engine light to come on days after picking up the vehicle.

Disappointing customer service on the phone. Transfer vehicle has a odometer discrepancy on the title and I have not been able to get the actual mileage on the vehicle or a resolution status.

If I could give zero stars I would. Never in my life have I had such awful customer service and lack of knowledge at a dealership. I literally walked out of a car deal after 4 hrs of agony because of their incompetence and went to the McKinney dealership. (Much better service) But alas Garland had my appraisal still in their system and did not release it as requested by the McKinney Carmax. While I was at the McKinney dealer a woman at a nearby desk was looking to go to Garland to look at a vehicle and I exclaimed don't do it, have the vehicle transfer. And I warning ya'll, dont go to Garland, transfer your vehicle elsewhere, its free anyway for local transit.

Rogers Brent made my experience unforgettable.my Mini was in Austin the shipping process was seamless. Rogers made sure he updated me every step.the longest part of my car buying experience was getting the car added to my insurance everything else Rogers had completed before I even arrived. Thank you soooo much you guys are Awesome. I definitely recommend this carmax and will be getting my daughter car soon!

Denise Rud, senior sales consultant at the Garland location, was awesome and very helpful. She answered all my questions and eased my concerns. I will definitely by CarMax the next time I am in the market for a car due to her professionalism and honesty. Thanks Denise!

This was our first time purchasing from CarMax and I definitely will say it won’t be our last! The customer service is out of this world amazing. Rogers Brent, our sales person, helped us from start to finish purchase our Jeep SRT. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and an all around nice guy. My husband and I couldn’t say all but nice things about Rogers he made this car buying process smooth and easy! We actually enjoyed it! I also have to comment on their service department Carlos Granados is a 5 star customer service guy. He went above and beyond to help us with minor car details we noticed. Rogers and Carlos thank y’all for everything! Overall extremely pleased with CarMax Garland! They truly care about their customers. Superior overall experience and super fast buying process compared to other dealerships. Denise Rud was great and she really made us feel at ease with the car buying process. I really wanted a specific car and they transferred it to the carmax store i wanted to visit. I was able to drive the car and felt comfortable it was the right car for me. The individuals i worked with were professional and made the process simple. I would recommend carmax to anyone who wanted a fair upfront deal.

I don't understand the no negotiating! When you have the best prices thats understandable. But Carmax does NOT have the best prices, most of their cars are higher, they are just more likely to put someone with challenged credit in a car.

Had an amazing experience. Denise was SO HELPFUL. We did thr financing over the phone. I got a new car that I love in a short period of time.

My daughter bought a car there and had to take it back 5 times in a year before it was completely fixed.
