CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels

Everyone is nice and professionalism the ER. Went in with kidney stones and everyone was compassionate.

Due to my medical crisis at the time of post having spine surgery on 04/24/19 and within approx 4 days post staples being removed, Developed a very high fever and pain at the 1 of 5 incision cites. And many hours after my having spoken to my husband and not able to reach my Dr when my husband came home late that night after work he was very worried because of my high fever (I was later told I had developed cystitis) He was unable to get clear communication from me so he called 911.
Anyhow, due to my inability to say what I need to due the very many details but suffice as to say, after being admitted on or about 05/03/19 I had yet another very bad incident while still being a patient.
And this was after the hospital e.r physician issue.
But, after my release I told every single of my Dr's along with the many staff members of the Spine Hospital of San Antonio what happened to me while a patient at Christus Santa Rosa and that in the future, if for any reason even if I am bleeding out or coding, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES send me back to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital. I would rather bleed out at home or leave me on the side of the road.
I am in no way suicidal, I just would rather leave my life in God's hands than the Christus Santa Rosa hospital.

This is a predatory hospital whose intention is to make money. Terrible service from the doctors and nurses. Terrible customer service over the phone regarding payment. Everyone who works here should be ashamed.

My dad went for knee surgery than three days later discharged him even though he was bleeding large amounts of blood two days after.didn't give him a narco before leaving when coming home it happens again nurse came to change bandage from home health and she had no waterproof bandage but she wrapped it halfway with reg bandage.thats not how you do a patient.and suggested we go back to the er.money is all they care about I've been a CNA for seven years and medical assistant I know what's up and how it works.weres the phsyical therapist teaching the family educating them to care for there loved ones? He needs a blood transfusion the hospitals clean that's the only thing I like about it.

This place is horrible. Everyone here acts like they hate their job and are literally annoyed that you come in. They will treat you like a nuisance and get you out as quickly as possible even if it means not properly taking care of their patient. All 3 visits went exactly like this with my 9 month old son. I hate this place. I hate this staff. If I could give y’all zero stars I would. DO NOT COME HERE.

Great hospital. Very friendly and attentive staff. This hospital made a difficult time much better.

Worst service I've ever had waiting 3 hours to be seen and never once got seen the nurses ignored me and I needed stitches. I will not be coming back I'll drive to seaton hays before ever coming back here

Went to emergency room and found I had appendicidus. I was immediately admitted and recieved 5 star treatment. The nurses were all impressive.

I had a total knee replacement here, and I have to agree that the second floor nurses are great! A special shout out to Daniele who was so patient, kind and friendly to me. She took the time to answer all my questions, and explain every procedure. It was a great experience overall, and the meals were wonderful too!

The nurses on the second floor were AMAZING! !
Daniela, and the girls were so good to my husband when he had knee replacement surgery. They really took gr8 care of all his needs to make sure he was comfortable.
Having the other knee done soon and will be back. GREAT JOB GIRLS

I can say this hospital is the best for having your baby, but only down fall is the emergency room. You will wait for a long time especially during the summer. Great staff!

My hospital of choice. 2nd and 3rd floor staff were simply amazing. Also being a heart hospital this close to home makes me sleep easier at night. If you are suffering chest pains they will take you in asap.

Worst staff and attention every time i come here. Chopped the tip of my finger off at work, and two plus hours into my stay, ive only got an xray and vitals. Still bleeding everywhere and nobody in sight.

Nursing and medical staff were fantastic. I gained quite the appreciation for how hard their jobs are. VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.

Stopped by after a bad knee cut from a rock, staff was great. Very caring and polite and took care of my friends son very well.

4 staples in the knee later, and kiddo is ready for more adventures.

ER nurse Jim is AMAZING. Took care of my mother-in-law with such compassion and kindness. Everyone was great here

Shameful that this is the hospital for such a great town. One doctor left a two year old with multiple issues in waiting for hours and then told us that they couldn't help us.literally said that. As we were leaving to drive ourselves to another hospital, a different doctor found out and stopped us.personally took responsibility for the failures and then delivered first class care. I am a proud New Braunfels resident, but I would take my children else where unless I had a guarantee that the second doctor could be assigned.so I will most likely seek emergency care elsewhere.

My wife was charged a copay for an MRI in error. She has tried on numerous times to get a refund for the erroneous charge. It was Medicare that made the error known. She has contacted the hospital billing office as well as the central billing office in Dallas. She keeps getting the "You should be getting a check shortly. " This has been going on for months. The amount is $34! How long would they make you wait for a significan sum? !

Worst experience ever with the medical attention she received here. Only best thing was Timothy, ER nurse who treated her like she mattered. Unlike ER doctor who just let my daughter throw up on herself knowing she had a bad seizure and sedated unable to hold herself up and walked right on out while my daughter continued throwing up on herself and me while I held her. Had her mind made up before even talking to family that my daughter was a junkie. When she should have seen she has a chronic dz.

ICU care was fantastic! The step down unit is abysmal. Nurses are so hurried that most run around like chickens with their heads removed. Told my wife to wash her heart bypass wounds with used soap left by previous patient. Discharged her with fluid on the lungs. Ambulance trip to E. R.a day later the Doctor was not very good. Just gave her pain pills. Let her sit there and suffer. Finally walked out to bad the insurance company will pay them anyway. Her regular heart doctor sent her stat to Sequin Hospital to have fluid drained from around her lung. Much better progress now. Been trying for four weeks to get her records. Just get he said she said.that person is off today. Whole ordeal is to long to post but stay away from here if at all possible.
