Cook Children's Pediatrics Burleson reviews
24 Worst front office in the world. These people have no sense of organization. We have gone to see Dr. Vert for the past two years and love Dr. Vert but her staff is bad.
We scheduled a 2 year check up 6 months ago. My wife got multiple calls weeks before the appointment of the front office trying to reschedule the appointment because Dr. Vert was not going to be available. We were very open to seeing the Doctor on duty that would replace her while she was gone. The last reschedule date was July 4th. My wife and I were driving on 1187 back home and we got the call to reschedule the day and time. We agreed on Friday, July 17th at 2pm. My wife works out in the morning and I have a guys group in the morning I go to each Friday. With all of the stuff we do in the morning we knew we would make the 2pm appointment.
My wife did not know the office had rescheduled the appointment to 9: 45am until we showed up at 2pm like we had on our family calendar. When we showed up to the 2pm appointment they tried to say that we had confirmed the 9: 45am appointment and did not show up. There was never an email or text or phone call prior to today that suggested a 9: 45am appointment. My wife, myself or my 2 year old son did not confirm it.
This is not the first time the front office has displayed disorganization. We will not go to this office again. We will go to Chadwick and Dunn because us adults have gone there the last 6 years and have loved them.
I love Dr. Vert, but this office is ridiculous. I was late one time and they made me reschedule the whole appointment instead of trying to fit us in when clearly it was a mistake. Guess they don't care if you have to take off work and get your child out of daycare.not their problem if you're a few minutes late. Too bad. Also, if I wanted my child to see the N. P.for her well visits then I wouldn't have researched doctors like crazy and chose Dr. Vert. This office likes for you to jump through hoops and watch you struggle to make it as a new parent. Oh, and when I asked the Doctor for tips on when to know if my baby has an ear infection, I was told 4 years in medical school is the only thing that would help me know.
I was never able to transfer my child to this clinic because the doctor has their own policy that if you have a balance at Cooks Hospital and aren't on a payment plan, you can't be seen. I tried explaining that Cooks wanted a really high monthly payment plan that I couldn't commit to. So I'd do big lump sum payments when I was able to do overtime and have paid a lot of it off. They didn't care. Good to know where the doctor's interest is, money not kid. We went to a different Cooks clinic for her new PCP and they didn't have any issues with our balance
We recently chose this location to be the PCP for our children. Our 6yr old had a first appointment with Dr. Smith. The level of attentiveness, patience, kindness, and care was like nothing I've ever seen in a pediatrician. Our 6yr old is a talker and not shy around anyone, and brought along an action figure to the appointment. Dr. Smith played along with the action figure conversation and even did a checkup on it with her otoscope! I couldn't ask for a more relaxed and welcoming experience. Very glad to have found Dr Smith.
I thought this was a great office for my kids. Unfortunately verifying insurance benefits is not their strong suit. They won't listen to reason and gave me the run around. I will not be going back here. It's a shame.
We love Dr. Smith and all of the staff at Cook Children's in Burleson. They have treated my girls for over 6 years now.
Love Dr. Smith and Cook Children's Burleson. They always get us in last minute and I love that they answer the phone instead of having to leave a message and get a call back. Great receptionists as well!
I am so appreciative of how well Dr. Smith takes care of me and also my nephew Jack! She is wonderful as are the other providers that cared for my older siblings. My mom was the nurse that opened the Burleson clinic with them many years ago and she misses them all!
Dr. Vert was my pediatrician during my childhood. When searching for a pediatrician for my son I was thrilled to learn that she had relocated to a practice down the street from my house. The office staff and the healthcare providers are always kind, efficient and very knowledgeable.
I absolutely love this office. They took such good care of my boys and made us feel loved. All of the doctors are amazing and the staff is informational.
Dr. Vert and the entire staff are so nice and attentive! They take their time at every appointment to talk to us and always show our LO so much sweet attention. Total bonus that we’ve never waited more than a couple minutes to be seen!
My children have been patients of Dr. Vert for the last 19 years. She truly cares about her patients, listens to parent’s concerns and does not rush the visit. I would highly recommend her to everyone searching for a friendly knowledgeable pediatrician.
Dr Vert and her staff took the best care of my first two babies/children. We followed them from their office in Fort Worth to the Burleson office. When we moved out of state one of my saddest realizations was losing the best pediatric team. I still think of Dr Vert and the nurses and staff we worked with as friends!
My kids saw Lana McClain for 3 years, she is very in personal, doesnt take notes to remember things such as how long my child had glasses for. So we changed doctors. Come to find out, my sons missing testicle I asked her about repeatedly, she said was fine! Is a huge issue and he now needs surgery he should have had before he was a year old!
Idk about the rest of the doctors but avoid her.
Amazing office, staff, nurses and doctors. We have had Doctor Vert for over 10 years and was my doctor as a child. She is amazing and I have never met anyone in her office that I didnt love as much as her. Wonderful place that loves and cares for your children like you do! Highly recommend them.
My children have gone here for years and we’ve always been pleased with the doctors, nurses, and staff. We love Dr. Vert and make a long drive to come to this practice. My children nor I wouldnt have it any other way!
We love this office. Never have an issue getting in if I call for a sick visit, or just managing over the phone.
We just moved to the area, within a few days my son had a high fever. I called to get him in and I was told I have a balance from another Cooks facility from 5 years ago that I had no idea about. Never recieved one bill. Then I was told they would not schedule him until it was settled. More concerned with money than the wellbeing of my sick 5 yr old.extremely dissapointing. Ended up going down the street somewhere else, and they were awesome.
Absolutely love this office. We’ve been seeing Dr. McClain for 6 years now and love her. She takes her time to answer any questions or concerns I may have without me feeling rushed.
We drive over an hour to see Dr. Vert. We have been with her for almost 18 years. She is very attentive and always wonderful with my children.
