I adopted a Chi from this facility and they have been incredibly helpful with my Baby. The staff is on top of her vaccines and one time when my Chi was having breathing problems the Vets helped her out. The medication cured her. The staff and volunteers are beautiful souls. I just can't say enough over how much I appreciate them. God bless them.

I highly recommend Eastlake!
This place is the best in all of Dallas.
I have 3 cats, 2 dogs and a rabbit.
Eastlake takes care of all my babies in a very professional manner. The staff and vets are so caring and friendly.

This is the place where we adopted our fur baby! We just did day camp and a full bath and Rudy came home smelling great with an Easter bandana!

Dr. Hille and the staff at East Lake Veterinary Hospital saved my cat's life. My poor baby had an extreme bladder condition with a rare substance inside (Dr. Hille had NEVER seen material like this in a cat's bladder in his 36-year career) but the Dr was able to get it out and now my cat is 100% percent himself!

It was a long road, Lu spent weeks in the hospital, but we're so grateful we took him here. If you notice your animal isn't urinating - DO NOT WAIT to bring them here.

We're so grateful for Dr. Hille and the staff at East Lake Vet. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Great prices on pet meds. We also adopted one of their beautiful rescues and found them very good at testing family compatibility.

We had a wonderful vet here but she left the clinic and no one informed us. I was appalled that the vet who left, or anyone from the clinic, failed to let us know when our appointment for a check-up/bordetella was just two weeks away. I only knew because I called for a UTI. Very disappointed in how this clinic handled the situation.

I’ve been bringing my dogs here since 2013. For the most part, East Lake has been a good practice. Tim at the front desk is pretty rude, but I’ve continued to come here because I do like Dr. O’Halloran. My recent experiences with Dr. Gail (Bushur-Irwin), however, have made me decide it’s time to find a new practice as she is unresponsive and negligent.

I brought my dog in on 11/1 as his eye was very red and rolled back. I was grateful that they were willing to see him the same day as a drop off since his condition was pretty concerning. Dr. Gail suspected that his eye irritation was due to allergies and I was given eye drops and instructed to return in one week for a checkup. Labs were drawn and Dr. Gail did call me on 11/3 to discuss the results, however, I missed her call. When I called back, I was advised that Dr. Gail was in surgery and they would leave her a message to call me back. After not hearing back, I called the next day to receive the lab results and was told that Dr. Gail was out of the office. Now, I know that a doctor does not call to discuss lab results if everything is fine. Since I was concerned something was wrong, I asked if any available doctor could call me back to discuss the results. The receptionist said she would leave a message for a doctor to call, however, I never heard from anyone.

Upon my dog’s visit to recheck his eye (11/7), Dr. Gail finally reviewed his lab results with me and advised that his eye lens was luxating and beginning to lean forward. She suggested I take him to an ophthalmologist for further evaluation, which I agreed to do. Since it was the weekend, Dr. Gail stated she would call the ophthalmologist on Monday and send me the referral so that I could make an appointment. I never heard from her on Monday as she stated, nor did she call me on Tuesday. I had to go out of town and called the office back upon my return (11/14) and left a message with Chris (who was very nice). Chris said Dr. Gail was out of the office but would try and contact her since I had not heard back regarding the referral. Chris called me the same night and advised that he did speak with Dr. Gail, however, she did not have her computer with her, so she would call me first thing on Monday or Tuesday morning. Well, by Tuesday afternoon (11/17) I still had not heard from her, so I called back and left another message requesting that Dr. Gail return my call and provide the ophthalmologist referral.

It was now one and a half weeks since Dr. Gail originally said she would have the referral, however, I still had not heard back from her. As my dog’s eye was worsening, I researched ophthalmologists on my own and found a practice to see my dog. When I called, they said lens luxation is very serious, they even considered it an emergency, and said I needed to bring my dog in right away. The ophthalmologist saw us the same day and advised that my dog’s eye lens had become completely detached and at that point, there was nothing that could be done. She suggested complete removal of the eye.

My dog’s eye has since been removed and he is recovering well. I feel that if he had seen an ophthalmologist sooner, it’s possible his eye could have been saved, but unfortunately, Dr. Gail never gave me the referral as she should have. She never discussed the severity of lens luxation and I am in disbelieve that she never called me back after leaving two messages requesting the referral. I find her lack of concern and complete disregard of my dog’s health quite concerning. Dr. Gail was completely negligent.

After seven years at East Lake, I have found a new practice and will not be returning. I encourage those looking for a vet to reconsider this practice and use caution if you do come here. Dr. O’Halloran is pretty good, but I do strongly advise against taking your pets to see Dr. Gail.

Thorough exam, and the vet seemed very knowledgeable, interested, and bright. Everything was clean and updated. The office is bustling—busy, but my wait times were very short, and I never felt neglected. All staff are friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this vet!

I have been looking for a new home for my puppies care since my Vet of over 30 years passed. After calling around to evaluate Vet Clinics, East Lake's professionalism was immediately obvious even over the phone. I made an appointment and everyone I dealt with was just as professional and caring. My pets have a new home for their care.

Dr. Pennington is doing what she's meant to do, and that is to care for animals and help their owners through the good and bad times.

We adopted our german shepard and kitty from Eastlake. They were great on the process and making sure all of us were going to be happy with our new pet and them going to us as a forever home. Also, we have boarded with Eastlake and the updates we receive while we are gone are great. The staff truly loves their work and it shows.

One of the best vet clinics I have ever visited! Allison Nelson is one of the sweetest vets I’ve met she always has the biggest smile and is very positive and answers all my questions and concerns. The clinic is very clean and organized and all the clinic staff in the front are very nice and assist you immediately.

Great vet! Super accommodating, and a great staff. So much better than my previous vet clinic. When you pay for an exam, you get a thorough one. Always clean, and they are doing a great job getting pets adopted in the community. Even has a daycare for your dog. Would highly recommend.

I LOVE this place! I have been to several vets in this area and East Lake is by far my favorite. I know my dog is difficult and they make it as easy as possible for everyone involved in his treatment. Today we had Dr. Hille. He was a godsend. Very patient, professional, compassionate and just amazing overall. I recomend this veterinary hospital to anyone!
