Excel Urgent Care, Missouri City TX

Both doctors, Dr. Okanji and Dr. Cornell, and their support staff are wonderful! Very friendly and comforting service. The clinic itself is very clean and there is usually a very short wait. I have been going here for years, and will continue to do so!

Brought my whole family here to get tested for COVID since my sister had tested positive. Dr. Okonji and Dr. Cornell was very informative the swab was quick and easy and not as bad as it was rumored to be. The paperwork was less than 5 minutes and i was able to be scheduled the same day without waiting so long. The office staff was nice and the protocol made the visit even more comfortable because i didnt want to have to get off and wait in the lobby they did this by thru, thank you to all the staff at Excel for keeping us safe and fast results:)

Super fast and flexible service. I was running late to my appointment and gave them a call. They said no worries! Very polite and professional staff and they take my insurance. Couldn't have asked for a better experience with my covid testing!

They deserve no stars! I never received my test results for covid 19 and the lab supposedly never received my results. They asked me to come back and get tested! I'm like uhhhhh no! For me to wait 2 weekS again! I already got tested!

Day 13. Still no COVID test result. They blame My Quest diagnostics for delay. Quest does not answer or respond to email or requests. Spoke to Excel rep 4 days ago, she was suppose to call me later in day with some kind of update. Still no call. Testing process however was very efficient and fast, staff were professional and organized. But what good is a test if no one seems to know what happen with result.

UPDATE: Day 15. No results. They called to let me know someone botched the tests and I have to come back in to retake. Keep in mind I called Day 7 asking if the tests was ok and if in fact it was being processed. I was assured it was. Fail.

The office is clean. It was an easy commute not too far from my house. The doctors were nice BUT the front office staff is rude. And it’s my first time visiting this office. But unfortunately it will be my last time. The front office staff is very unprofessional. If a person is asking questions because they need clarification about something or have questions. They shouldn’t have to endure being talked down too or given dirty looks. Ridiculous and really unnecessary.

We have been going here ever since they opened. They are open from 9: 00 am to 9: 00 pm every day. The charges are just like a normal doctor visit - copay insurance (not emergency room). The doctors are great, especially Dr. Catherine. You get personal attention by people who care.

These people are looking solely for cash. I asked the receptionist if they accepted insurance and she said no. We don't accept that insurance. But I never told her what kind I had. Bigotry is my first thought. I then told her I had United Health Care and she perked up. Slimy bigoted money grubbing company!

Excel Urgent Care is The Best! I've passed by several urgent care clinics to have Dr. Okanji care for me and my Family, She's a hidden Jewel in distressing times. Excel urgent care could greatly improve its customer service by improving its wait time. I arrived and there was only one other patient ahead of me, and it took almost an hour to see the doctor.

The staff is so sweet! They are caring and kind and they actually listen to you. The doctor they have there is amazing! I’m glad I found this place.it’s kind of a hidden gem!

Came to test for second time which the lady knew as soon as I walk in. They told me it will be 20 mins. I went to kroger next door and let the lady know I was gonna be right back. I was back in 15 minute sat in lobby for 20 more mins and then when to check with the front end and the lady goes like we told you left even though they were holding my driver license. " now we have more patients so it's gonna take long". They did have my phone number to call me.

Staff and doctor are great and facility is clean, but waiting 2.5 hours just to see a doctor for a lingering cold is nuts. They told me about 1 hour to see the doctor, and it took over 2.5 hours. With an urgent care on every corner there is likely one that is a little better staffed and organized.

I waited 2 and a half hours to be seen. Needed a note from the doctor and instead of writing me the note, the dr continued seeing other patients and leave me waiting longer. I was told there was an hour and half wait when i walked in at 9: 30. Well here it is 12: 45 and Im still waiting to finish this appointment.

I have been coming here for 3yrs now. VERY upset with today's service waited an hr n half just get skipped n the girl at front desk acted like it was not a big deal. I usually dont complain but this is 3 time this year the new staff is horrible and dont care some of the old ones as well. The last time i was there they asked me leave because it was late and they didn't feel what i had going on was urgent. If you looking for someone to care n your sick time dont go here. However if Dr. Ocungi is there she is the best!

Dr. Catherine Okonji is awesome. Her concern for your health is unsurpassed. The staff here is great. The facility is clean and comfortable. Never a long wait.

Came in on a Friday after that, ”end of the day call from the school nurse” for my 14yo sons wrist. Checked in, filled out all the paperwork, paid, sat down and waited. While having vitals done I was told that the x-ray tech had called in, and while his wrist would be looked at and treated we would need to come back in the morning for his X-ray. When we came back in the morning we had to wait again to be seen. I have come here a ton as a mother of 6 kids who play sports and would recommend it even after the shenanigans from today. Always clean, always nice people, always accurate and almost always quick.

I brought my daughter here Saturday, Nov 26,2016 around 3 PM due to difficulty of breathing (Food Allergy) after eating brownies with hidden peanuts inside. The receptionist told us to go to first choice Emergency Instead. Where is the compassion? Can urgent care do that?

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because I waited an hour and a half to see the Dr. I've been there before and I have not had to wait near this long.
The staff is Very nice and professional! The doctor knew I was going to be home alone and she called me before she left for the day to check on me! That meant a lot to me. Most Dr. 's don't do that.
I would definitely recommend them to family and friends!

I'm a regular and always in-and-out fast. Very affordable instead of the ER. Very knowledgable staff.
