Gold's Gym, Live Oak TX

Love the staff at the front desk. Also, love how clean the whole facility is. I consistently see staff cleaning the equipment. Only complain is that I do see some members with their masks off. The mask on policy should be reinforced. Members should know better. Overall experience is great. Thank you for doing your best to keep us safe.

I love this gym itself. But absolutely everyone who works here (at least the front desk) is extremely rude. I’m asking the lady at the front desk a question and she barely answers, and blows me off. I go to a different golds location and they joked that the live oak location is the “red headed” step child. And that they even hate just having to call over/cover the live oak location since the people who work there are rude. Pretty sad when they even have other locations complaining about them.

I really enjoy this gym. Plenty of equipment and the locker rooms are huge.

I've been using gym memberships for about 20 years, and I don't think I've ever had so many employees ask me how is my experience here, since moving to San Antonio.

I recently purchased some training packages with Mitchell, the personal trainer, and I really appreciate his level of service and attention to detail.

My only complaint is the sauna is closed but thats not their fault.its due to covid restrictions.

Hardly anyone is wearing masks and staff does nothing about it. Even when the issue is brought to staffs’ attention they do nothing. They ‘clean’ the gym between 1-2 daily but there is no point when no one wears masks.

Very satisfied here. Everything is very clean and everyone seems to be doing there best to keep a good distance from each other.

It's so much better with the renovations! Cant wait for the expanded weight area and new equipment. I love that they converted the women's "mini gym" into more space for the kids.
Edit: this place is doing a good job with upkeeping the new normal during the pandemic. Safe place to get swole if you didn't get your own home gym during the panic buying.

Never really rate things but I was very upset when I came to this gym at 530am and was still waiting on some person to show up and open the doors even though it’s advertised to open at 4am! This is just ridiculous and I have never had that happen to me anywhere but here. It’s also over crowded and dirty. Wish other gyms were closer!

Good gym that allows people to train hard if they want. Can be busy at peak hours, but to be expected for a good gym in a busy area. I was only in town for a few months for work, so I signed a 3 month commitment, with month to month after that. Cancellation was quick and easy at the desk, and received a confirmation email shortly after. Only reason for 4/5 stars is that I feel they need more squat racks, which is not a bad thing because this is a real gym where people DONT skip leg day. PEACE.

No stars. Had an appointment to sign up with Billy at 9am. Got 2 kids ready and sat at the gym for 20 min waiting. He didn't show up and no one else who worked there could sign me up. Crazy. I drove down to the Thousand Oaks location and was helped right away by Michael. He was very nice and made me feel better about signing up. My time is valuable and sales people should be on time for their appointments or make sure other staff can handle new clients.

Golds Gym is supposed to be the #1 spot to workout, but I don’t think anyone has told the folks who work here. The men’s bathroom is one of the most disgusting gym bathrooms I’ve seen and it consistently stays that way. 2 days in a row without hand soap, sounds like someone isn’t too concerned with doing there job. The gym equipment is good, but doesn’t make up for unsanitary conditions.

Need to keep this place cleaner. This is the machine I’m on and the machines right next to it. Smh

Never met so many enthusiastic Trainers and People that bring out the nest in you. Very clean awsome atmosphere.

This is the nastiest place I have ever been. The men's locker room smells like stale piss and poop. Someone needs to let the cleaning guy know to change the water in the mop bucket once in a while.

Been coming to this gym for quite sometime never had a problem until they (i assume) got rid of the cleaning crew, i mean especially the restrooms i cant go in there without choking, toilets are always dirty, hardly any soap or TP! Sinks are dirty and mirrors as well.

If there isn’t explosive poop in the restroom you can find it in the management office Been through 100 hoops trying to get refunded money that they were not authorized to withdraw (theft) manager blows hot air if he spent as much time working on customer service as he does biceps it would be a decent place

This is a decent gym, although it seems like no one who works here cares. It’s a breeding ground for bacteria. The sauna is never cleaned (even after multiple requests at the front desk), and you can see bacteria growing in all the crevices. I will remove this 1 Star rating if they clean the sauna and set up regular cleaning times for it.

My home gym. Only thing I don't like about it now is the burn class is way too noisy. Please give them headphones so you don't have to play that music so loud.

Ton of free weights, great atmosphere, and different machines to hit all body parts. Real squat and bench press racks.

My wife is the one that goes to the gold's gym, she enjoys swimming in the pool and water work out classes.

Girls on registers dosent provide information when it comes on packages that im interested to know and get about this location! I look on line about the deals but never says the prices a of towels and other things!
