Gold's Gym, Live Oak TX

Apparently golds gym only cares about beefed up men now. They closed down the other Gold's gym on Pat Booker which I highly preferred to send me back to this gym which was newly renovated. Great for the new paint but now they've taken away the women's workout room. The women's locker room has new showers but offers no soap, shampoo, lotion, hairdryers etc. No yoga classes. In a nutshell… It sucks… And only keep my membership temporarily to be able to use the hot tub.

Man I want to like this gym, but its hard. If you compare Live Oak to Bulverde or New Braunfels- it's night and day. The equipment layout makes no sense. The machines are too close to each other, can be awkward sometimes. And it doesn't matter what time you come, the bathrooms/locker room are always a mess. It's just a totally different vibe from the other gyms.

My brother and I went to the gym today, someone managed to take his beats and clothes and bag while we were there, so we went to the front to ask the girl (Lauren) at the counter if she had seen anyone, she had no care towards what happened and to top it off while we were leaving she was flirting with some guy. That is very unprofessional and should be dealt with.

Good facility - Okay staff. To many young adults on their phones taking up machines and to lazy to re-rack their weights. Best Option around but hoping for a Lifetime Fitness to come along!

The staff was very rude to my boyfriend when we came and was not patient. I know they want to make sales but going to this place for the time and just wanting to get a membership is not sitting well with me. You can't sell me what I don't need.

The sales department lacks professionalism and are rude. They don't care about the clients, and you cannot get a firm price on monthly fees. If you would call and speak to a different person each time you, would probably get a different price from each person. I asked some questions to the front desk personnel and most of the time received the same answer. "I don't know". They recently changed the hours of operation, and I tried to get some answers and suggestions for another location I could go to that is more convenient for myself. The salesperson was all but helpful. Would not recommend Gold's Gym. Will probably look to find another customer friendly Gym.

All the trainers are so friendly and encouraging. Plus they take the time to get to know your name. Really enjoying my time there.

"lunk alert" everywhere. Was doing a tour and noticed it was really packed. A bunch of meat heads were slamming weights because they cant handle what they lift and grunting because they gotta let the whole world know they are working hard. Lol I didn't think people still did that. Maybe, I'm just use to the Planet Fitness atmosphere where you can go and expect to make real progress without all the unnecessary awkward noise.

Still going and the location on Pat Booker is busier than thousandoak location (way less people) and not so status qoute. Lol ijs.
