I visited and TJ the sales rep was a great at helping us. He worked above and beyond to find a truck that I liked.
Unfortunately, Gulfgate won’t be earning my business due to the finance director.
A finance manager should be the one who “seals the deal” and that guy did not.
I was there with a friend and the finance director first introduced himself by asking if we were father and son.
I then explained my wife had to work today and I would like to take the information home and show information about the truck, price and payments.
He then tried to pressure me into bringing in my wife that night sometime. I explained again she had to work and wouldn’t be coming in.
He then became pushy about when she could come in and wanted a time. I again explained she had to work. He then asked about the next day and specific times. I told him if we agree on buying the truck, we would be in the next day after she gets off work. He asked for a time again. This guy doesn’t get it.
He then asked the numbers I was looking for in payments and said driving out at that price was something he could do and that he would get started.
I asked for the everything to be printed so I could take it home to show my wife as the truck is not listed on their website and he declined to do so. He then took a business card and sloppily wrote numbers that were not legible, still not presenting the price of the vehicle. I had to ask a third time for the price of the vehicle and he walked away to write down some numbers in which the payments turned out to be $80 more than he agreed on to my face in front of TJ the sales rep.
Gulfgate claims they want customers to have the best experience. The finance director did not provide that and is the reason TJ lost the sale today. The finance director provided a pushy experience and didn’t keep his word on the price he originally gave me.

All I wanted was for the finance director to keep his word on the payment amount he quoted me verbally and a printed quote along with information about the particular truck I was looking at so I could show my wife. The finance director’s answer to me in front of TJ was “we don’t do that here. ”

We were looking to trade in our Nissan pathfinder which was purchased at Clear Lake Nissan (0 of 5 stars), and we had the best overall experience in contrast here. I'd recommend anyone especially family members go see Jeff at Gulfgate dodge. He was professional friendly and not pushy at all. Every person I've personally dealt with here has been courteous friendly and really helpful! Even when signing all the paperwork my son was complaining about hunger and one of the salesmen took change from his pocket and got my son something from the vending machine. I am grateful for their outstanding customer service and when I am ready to buy another vehicle I will be going back to Gulfgate dodge and seeing Jeff! I can not say enough good things about this dealership.

They were fake advertising didn't say they prizes for only people's who buying car and i won a five hundred dollars Walmart grift cards yesterday i would never do business with thems fake foney people who can't advertise without doing fake advertising

Great dealership! Stress free buying experience. Joe Bayonne was very friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Showed me four different 2019 Ram 1500 Limiteds (3 of them he had to go and get from the back lot) before I decided on the one I purchased. Finance manager Deniece Jackquet was very friendly, and helpful with discussing financing options and deciding on extended warranty protection. Sales manager Juan Davis was very fair and upfront. I would definitely buy at Gulfgate Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram again.

It was not want it made out to be False advertising leading customers on like they was really going to sell you a car. Don't think I will be coming back know I want be coming back. Will be changing from Dodge to Toyota.

Do not waste your time here. I wish I would have paid attention to the other negative reviews prior to wasting my time here. I saw a certified pre-owned Jeep Grand Cherokee here that I was interested in, so I looked online and saw that they opened at 10 am on Saturdays. I showed up and was told that they don’t sell cars on Saturdays, but that they would let me look at vehicles and negotiate a deal. The vehicle was listed online as certified pre-owned at $28,995. After I drove the vehicle, I went inside to purchase it. The salesman brought me that price sheet and when I looked at it, I noticed they tacked on an additional $2,000 charge for the vehicle being certified. I asked the salesman why it was advertised at $28,995 as a certified vehicle with no mention of the $2,000 upcharge and he told me the website should have mentioned the $2,000 charge, but when I pulled it up, it was not there. I walked out and went to Ron Carter in Alvin. If you want to be nickeled and dimed and have random fees added to you purchase price, go to gulfgate. I would highly recommend Andre at Ron Carter Ford in Alvin. I left Gulfgate dodge and went to look at an identical vehicle there. They honored the online price, no questions asked, and the price was $4,000 less than Gulfgate Dodge for an identical vehicle with 1k fewer miles. Do not waste your time at Gulfgate unless you hate money and want to give yours away to an dishonest car dealer.

Stay away! I am not just another upset customer. My wife and I legitimately gave them a chance and purchased from them. They not only screwed us over on vehicle (which they said they could help us with later), but now is the later and they tried to screw us over even more. Shauntral the salesman is the shining example of a great salesmen because he will lie and not truly help. Luckily for my wife and I we met "TROY" @ TEXANS DODGE and he helped us again. Such a good hardworking and helpful salesman we purchased vehicles from him that we are happy to call ours. ****DO NOT SHOP AT GULFGATE! ****

I purchased a vehicle from Gulfgate dodge 3 weeks ago with $1000.00 down payment. Yesterday the finance manage DeSean contacted me saying that the lender couldn’t approve me because of the length of time at my job. That’s bull because All of this should’ve been settled before I left off of the lot 3 weeks ago. So they demanded an extra $2000.00 down payment on top of the $1000.00 that was already given to them, I told them that I needed a little time to come up with the extra $2000.00 they WOULD NOT work with me one bit so I had to give them the vehicle back and I still have not received my $1000.00 back as of yet. They said that it had to go through an unwinding process. I called up there insisting to speak with the owner James or someone higher up and they just gave me the Run around. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Gulfgate Dodge, they are very inconsiderate. Now I’m car less and $1000.00 short. I hope someone higher up from the company reads this review and try reaching out to me. But more than likely they wont. But this is just my experience with them, maybe they’ll treat others differently.

This Dealer is a Scam, I found a truck that l like in Autotraders for a good price so l went to this dealer and test drive the truck, l told them that l was ready to buy the truck. Surprise the price went from 51,514.00 to 65,000.00 so l show them the price in Autotrades and they say yo can get that price if you can get all the discounts so let say you need to be in the military, be a police officer, fire fighter, employee of the dealer etc etc to get like 10 different discounts.so after that they call the manager and he was the worse manager ever.he told me.if you don't like it go to a different dealer.

Salesman Carmine seemed to get irritated after we asked to look at a different colored vehicle than the one we originally looked at and walked off to go find it with an apparent bad attitude. I left there not making a purchase and never went back.

Would give "0" stars if I could. Do not go by any price you see on their website. I tried to get in touch several times before visiting and every time I mentioned price all communication was lost. I even emailed and tried to follow up a couple times and NO REPLY at all.

Had to stop at this dealership after getting a bolt in our tyre while on vacation. We had to go to a jeep dealership because of our road hazard coverage. DONT EXPECT SPEEDY SERVICE FROM GULFGATE. To simply change one tyre it took them 2.5 hours which really is unacceptable. And on top of the lack of service and speed, all personel are seen constantly on their mobile phones. I would strongly suggest finding a different dealership for emergencies.

Horrible service. I went in with my 2 little boys trying to buy a Pacifica. Internet price said 27900. I had a trade in that would put me upside down about 1k. They tried to take advantage of me and gave me a RIDICULOUS PRICE OF LIKE 43K! I have been shopping for a months now and have serious deals on a 2019 for 35 k same features. They wanted to give me a 2018 for 43k! Shame on them for tryimg to take advantage of me.

Went there today to get oil change the service guy as you walk in told me he'll be right with me that right with me took took up to 10 minutes then when he did come he did not want to help me too busy spitting in a can of tobacco. And this was all for oil change tire rotations. When I purchased a vehicle from this location it was a great friendly atmosphere but the service center terrible need to be revamped.

It's the typical bait-and-switch addendum add-on and other features they try to sell you. They advertise a low price and talk about the rebates then when the manager comes back with the actual sales order it has an additional $3,500 or so for features that no one wants. When I sent the salesman back for the second time negotiating the price I sat there for 15 minutes and I just decided to leave. They get people in the door with the low prices, but they can't deliver.

Very rude SCAMMERS.they would change your contract at the last minute and get you to sign EXPECTING that you forgot the verbal agreement. While your signing the purchase of the vehicle its all
