H-E-B Grocery reviews
32HEB they've got about the cheapest prices I've found in the whole United States.price of meats a little high nowadays and their bakeries a little expensive but other than that you can't beat them for bread peanut butter canned goods and even I mean 65-cent hot dogs it may be made out of byproducts but hey 65 cents what do you expect.
Typical supermarket. No plastic or paper bag offered for your groceries. You can only purchase reusable bags.
Cecili in grocery at the Congress/Oltorf HEB chased me down in the store to bring me an item I’d been looking for at multiple different HEB locations.she was the first and only person that was able to locate the item for me and brought it to me personally while I continued to shop. It’s people like Cecili that make shopping at HEB such a delightful and welcoming experience. Thanks again, Cecili!
I really like this location because there is always a lot of people, but the lines move very quickly. I appreciate that very much.
Busy pkace, should be able to get what you're looking for. It's an older store and it's located in a central area with two main roads and convenient bus stops. It's a popular location and the place is usually crowded, especially during peak hours.
This HEB is always crowded. The setup isn't conducive to curbside, as the people picking out items are constantly blocking aisles with their person as well as their giant carts, making maneuvering through the store super difficult.
If actually NEED something from HEB, and I mean ANYTHING, don't come to this HEB lol. Go anywhere else cause they're always out of stock. An employee today told me they only stock cat food directly off of the truck daily. So there operations make zero sense for the flow/stocking of some of their products. But anyways like I said if ya REALLY NEED SOMETHING, GO TO ANY OTHER HEB
Minerva, Cashier, happened to be from the same hometown. She recognized the city on my T-shirt. It was nice getting groceries and visiting with someone familiar!
Mys wish for more meat and sody, so we can all get die-a-betes!
Seriously: Needs a green remodel and solar panels! They're likely to tear it down and move across the street to where they bought the shopping center. Way too much unhealthy meat and junk food, few organics or healthy choices.
I shop here twice a month and staff is hardly friendly and the people shopping in the store are even less friendly. Store is laid out way different than most HEBs. Most of what I need I have to go elsewhere for. Think i'll try the HEB on Brodie Ln.
This may not be one of the new and fancy H-E-Bs but it’s definitely my favorite. Conveniently located on South Congress, this is your one-stop shop for produce, bakery, and just about any food you need. The busy parking lot may be intimidating, but you’ll be pleased with what you find inside.
Worse worse and worse could not complete my shopping on groceries. To pick up a perception takes at least 40 minutes.
Super duper busy and always few of the cashiers are closed.
Low prices dominate here. Staff is friendly. We were buying local wines from Texas and the employee was knowledgeable. Checkout lines were not long at all. Free samples of cheese crackers soda water cookies etc. Parking lot needs resurfacing. Convenient location.
This is one of the older stores don't have a lot of room trying to put too much in a little hole I wish they would move the electric carts closer to the front door where the easier to get to
My favorite grocery store chain. The Congress/Oltorf location has gone downhill a bit, and their night manager was so rude to my husband that he refuses to go back, but I do like to visit other HEBs. Hopefully the Oltorf store will get an upgrade in managers and will improve again so we can go back. We used to shop here all the time.
L am usually always able to find what I am looking for at HEB. I highly recommend this grocery place.
A store in Great Distress! POOR MANAGEMENT, constant lack of stockking shelves, no intellegent and knowledgeable employees, cashiers short changing you, items being not bagged, all and all, a Very Poor Representation of the HEB syandard. I will now travel farther and shop elsewhere. CORPORATE NEEDS TO GET INVOLVED! IF THIS IS THE NEW HEB MARKETING PLAN. You are in trouble. Very Sad. Sorry. Long term problem.
Busy parking lot with security patrols there's a lot of traffic on foot and vehicular so secure your valuables. Store is compact but has a good selection and is clean. The employees (H. E. B calls them partners) are friendly and knowledgeable which is almost always the case with this grocery chain where Here Everything's Better (Actually named after Howard Edward Butt even though his dad Florence opened the first store in Kerrville TX)
This HEB is a smaller HEB not like the big huge H-E-Bs that you usually see and I really like it a lot more cuz you can get in and out pretty quickly. The park is not too great but if you don't go during the rush times it's okay. The staff there is always very helpful and nice.
It's better than Walmart but don't get used to buying the same item. They tend to change up the product line. But most prices are the same as Walmart. I wonder what happened to the price fixing laws.
