Healthy Texan Pediatrics: Weiss Shelley MD, Dallas TX

I do not want to give this Doctor any stars. He is not a kind person. He has been very rude not only to my family. When my daughter was there. But then both of my sisters and their kids have been there after we left and both have left his office from being treated so rude. It is very said when a child's Doctor behaves like he does. We were blessed to find an amazing pediatrician for our kids after leaving his office, so I guess I can say every thing happens for a reason. He was extremely rude and neglectful to me and my family. He doesn't know his break room/office and the patient room right next to it has paper thin walls. We had been waiting for an hour with a sick child crying and wondering where the doctor was. Then we heard him walk into the room and I guess he was eating or having coffee or something a nurse or co worker walks into the room with him and says "I thought you had patients waiting. " He answers "They can wait. I'm not in a rush. " And laughed. This is no joke my husband was in the room with me, we both looked at each other and were like. Wow! We were so bothered by it we never went back. My sister and best friend has 3 kids. She took them in and they waited 2 hours after being placed in a room. She moved the hand sanitizer and tissues out of hands reach of her little one. Because she has a newborn, a 1 year old and a 5 year old. He came in after they waited for 2 hours. And asked where his stuff was, when she explained she moved it so that my nephew wouldn't grab them. He told her "if you can't control your kids don't bring them here, but don't move my stuff. " My sister started crying and said she was sorry it was just easier to move them out of his reach and he never once apologized for being rude. She has switched doctors due to that. This kind of behavior is not ok for any doctor much less a pediatrician. I am sad that this kind of person gets the blessing of working with kids and business. There are amazing pediatrician a out there. Very kind ones. That love the entire family and don't just treat you as money in their pocket. I hope if you are reading this review and you are looking for a pediatrician that you will give your business and put your family and kids into someone else's hands. Because there are people out there that really care and are passionate with their work and patients. Dr. Weiss is not one of those people. Very sad that he's a pediatrician.
