I’ve lived here for about 6 months now. This is a terrible place to live. If you move in your car WILL get broken Into, as mine did just last night. There are homeless people consistently walking around everyone’s cars and even residents that live here that walk around clearly on drugs and hallucinating. I feel extremely unsafe. They claim to have 24 hr security which is a complete lie.

Have been here for about 2 months. Haven't had any issues so far. Inside the apartment is amazing and I really like the surrounding community and how dog friendly everything is.

I have had the best experience here. Everything was done within a week. I went in looking for one thing, found a better deal, signed all the paperwork (all digital btw!), and was moving in by the end of the week. The staff is amazing (shout out to Ejay!) And the apartments themselves are fantastic. I can see myself living here for a long time and I have been recommending it to everyone I know who has been looking for a new place to live.

If you are looking for a new place to live, this is the place. You're not going to find a better deal or a better staff.

My brand new 2020 Lincoln nautilus was parked at 2100 Tannehill Street- (apartment complex named The Heights at 2121) on Saturday night, for approximately 1 1/2 hours, between 7: 30 PM and 9 PM. I had an attempted break-in on both the passenger front window, and the rear window of the same side. It looks like the suspect took a screwdriver, and tried to crack the window from the corners, but was unsuccessful. I had no valuables in the car, and nothing of interest in sight, to warrant a break in. The police department is treating it as an attempted Automobile Theft.
I knocked on resident’s doors who live near where I was parked, and was told that two other vehicles have been stolen from that complex in the last month. The apartment complex, the Heights at 2121, where this occurred, has neglected to inform residents of prior incidents, so I have posted to this site so that hopefully the neighborhood is aware of what is going on in our community.

My last review was taken down by management silencing concerns rather than taking action and addressing them.
I am deeply offended and highly disappointed that they would take than stance by removing a review a review…. This simply is not professional and is flat out disrespectful. My last review I was told by a member of the staff that I should come in to speak the them regarding my issues. I have done this in the past and no changes were made, so I see no reason to go.

There are frequent changes in the management staff with no notifications are sent to the residents notifying us so we know who will be helping us in their office should we have an issue. When I come to the office its pretty much a new person and we would like to know who is “helping” us.
Communication is important in a day and age that are ruled by social media, they haven’t grasped this, and it’s quite frankly…sad.
Emails are sent to the staff and frequently either remain unanswered or takes a great deal of time to be responded to. There was discrepancy with my account that took well over a month to resolve, and had I not been persistent it wouldn’t have been taken care of.

The washers and dryers are in disrepair and it was brought to their attention and nothing was done about it. Most recently, they raised the prices on the machines from $1.59 to $1.79, again, with no communication sent to the residents. The machines themselves are either broken, or they requires a additional cycles, and at $1.79 this can leave oneself…mildly frustrated, as you can imagine. The other day I used a washer and had to wash my clothes twice because the machine didn’t do a sufficient job. I put that same load of laundry in a dryer and it didn’t dry the clothes sufficiently either.
Mind you, for a small load of laundry this cost me $7.16 to wash and dry because the machines are not properly maintained.

In early 2019, I was told by a former staff member that we were to get new washers and dryers, as one can imagine I was elated.
Here we are in 2020 and this has yet to transpire. They however, painted the walls a lovely shade of Taco Cabana teal and installed new flooring in the laundry room. This does not take care of the true issue at hand which is the machines. Need. To. Be. Replaced. Rather than put lipstick on the proverbial pig.

The laundry room situation has gotten to the point where residents have stuck letters and notes on the machines. This is in hopes of getting management’s attention so to preform repairs and then the notes are removed by management and the issues remains unresolved.
By these actions, by this sort of treatment is actively shows that managements does not have intentions on taking care of the residents needs.
In my last review I was told that “Satisfaction” was a top priority and this has as of yet to exhibit itself. One of the residents actually wrote on the machines so other residents would know which machines are not functional. I have included those images for you review.

I have been a resident in for 5 years and have had major issues with roaches which is frankly astonishing considering I’m a clean freak and yet here they are. There was recently a quote “mandatory” treatment and no one showed. The pest control comes as requested and that’s fine, but they need to use more effective products to be honest I have resorted to managing myself and have done a better job.

I would like to again reiterate the lack of communication between management and the residents. Last month there was a car that was on blocks and had I not gotten on yelp to write a review…. I wouldn’t have known anything happened. In instances like this it would behoove management to send a notice of incident rather than shy away from issues like they do consistently.

The location is great but its overpriced for what it is. There is a new pet park…there’s a plus, but truth be told…. The people who live here didn’t lease for a pet park…. We leased for the low price and the location….

Wish I could give no stars for this place. Management is a joke, place is unsafe, washer/dryers always out of order. The water has been brown for over 6 months, and all management says is to let it run for a while.

Jonathan helped me move my massage chair to my second story apartment a little after hours! In this heat, action speaks louder than words. Needless to say, the staff is very accommodating to help with the little things. Great people, great place, great location, great living

I came in three different times to look at an apartment. The first time I came in at 5: 31 and was told they stopped showing at 5: 30, second time was at 12: 15 on a saturday and no one was there and no one showed up after 20 minutes, someone who was moving in said he had waited for 30 minutes already and couldn't get his keys. The third time there was someone there but she couldn't help me for over an hour because she had someone moving in and an appointment. I've also called twice and not gotten an answer, so I can't imagine the nightmare of getting someone to handle issues if you lived here.

I loved living here! Just moved this week and I was sad to go. Very well priced apartments for the area, dog friendly, really nice area for Houston, and the community was friendly. I also have to say that the maintenance crew was outstanding! They were very quck, effective and friendly. If I had any issues, they went above and beyond to help. Thanks maintenance crew!

My experience at 2121 The Heights has been a blessing. The staff was friendly and followed through with me until I moved in. The apartment is clean fresh paint, new carpet, and the location is perfect. The area is quite and neighbors have been welcoming. We are happy to call this our "Home sweet home".

Let's be real here. You're getting what you paid for. This is one of the cheapest apartments out in the heights area and you'll be lucky to land here. I live on the phase 2 side & personally I haven't had any major problems yet. There has been cases of the apartment smelling like a dead animal or major leaks in my roommates bathroom but maintenance has come almost right away as we put in the request. The office staff is usually hard to get a hold of so I suggest just going to the office if you have a concern. As for bug problems we had a roach problem when we first moved in which could've honestly came from the moving truck but they got rid of the problem as soon as we put in a request to get it taken care of. I wouldn't harpoon on all these bad reviews because basically like I said you guys get what you pay for.if you don't like it that much then spend more money.

I have lived here for almost a year. I had a lot of issues in the first apartment I was in. The staff did everything to accommodate me and resolved them in a timely manner. After still having issues they moved me to another apartment. Luis did an awesome job helping me pick out the one I'm in now. Just wanted to say thank you for the good service.

This complex is horrible! They turn off your water ALL the time with out notice! The security gates are ALWAYS open! I called the office bc I had an issue and was put on hold. 20 min passed so I walked to the office. I walked in and the 2 employees were looking at fb on each others phone. Just a terrible place to live.

Overall decent. There isn't much competition in Houston though.
Pros: Friendly leasing agent, good price, good location
Cons: Minutes after my tour, I was quoted 16 more dollars and they added 3 more months to my lease. Lack of communication between the staff. After they told me everything was ready in my apartment, I noticed a few things not working-An outlet in the living room doesn't work. My bath water is only steaming hot and unable to change temperature.
Unfortunately this is probably the best quality apartment you'll find in Houston for under $800
