Holiday Inn Express & Suites Royse City - Rockwall

I thought this would be a nice hotel to stop at while traveling alone with my three children under 6.we had driven 9 hours that day. My husband called and set the room up using his points. The front desk guy I believe his name was Micheal had an issue with the form of I'd I was giving him and was basically turning me away with 3 kids. So I have to get the kids together and go back to my car for my license. I give the guy my ID and say I'm not sure what the problem is the police would except the other I'd then he snaps back and says I highly doubt that. I ask to speak to someone else and he refused and said he was the manager. If this is how your management gives costumer service I will never stay at one of your hotels again. This Micheal was so rude and has no respect.

Stayed here while going to the races down the road. Clean hotel. The staff was exceptional. Unlike most of the hotels I’ve been to lately this one has a great breakfast selection. Also if you’re a Texan or even a non Texan…. Buccees is right down the road which is always a plus. Price was good as well, I’ll be back here next time I’m at the races.

It is an ok Holiday inn. We have stayed at a lot precovid and this place needs some serious cleanliness lessons post covid. I would highly recommend just staying at another hotel in Rockwall. The staff were super nice, but the room we stayed in was pretty nasty. The bathroom floor was sticky, there was hair in the bath rub. The walls and doors were super nasty. Just nasty. I am thankful I had a can of lysol. They left the stuff from the people who stayed before, the toilet paper was not new, you could tell it had been used. Just nasty.

Nice friendly staff. Comfortable room albeit in need of remodeling, which we were told is about to start.

The room was dirty there was hair in the sink an the bathtub I had to clean my own room an the lady at the front desk was extremely rude the floor under the ac was also caving in I did get a call from the manager but it don’t make anything better

This was our second night on the road and after a bad first night, we asked to be put somewhere quiet. Given that A. COVID had travel restrictions and the hotel was hardly full and B. We didn’t have a reservation and were willing to pay more, we didn’t see this as a big ask. All went well until our neighbors DIRECTLY NEXT DOOR arrived and slammed doors/blasted their tv for an hour.

If a dirty bathroom, slamming doors, and no sleep is you thing, this is a great hotel. If not, do yourself a favor and drive a little further to stay somewhere else so that you can sleep!

I showed up to check in. They didn't have any rooms available like I wanted. Even though the internet said they did. So finally we settled on a room that was acceptable to me and that was ready. At 4 in the afternoon. Then I asked about the hot tub. They said they don't have a hot tub. That it's a jet something out other and closed for winter. No rooms with tubs available. Had them refund money and left.
On arrival I heard what appeared to be the manager belittling am employee. The stage was set negatively to begin with.

Easily the best Holiday Inn in the DFW area. It is supported by a great staff with amazing owners. If you want top of the line hospitality and a peaceful night of rest while you’re in town, go to this location. A few solid food locations that are walkable and a few minutes near the lake!

I was stuck in the rain on the motorcycle they were inviting helped a ton. The service staff was really good even came by and asked about the breakfast the hotel smelled wonderful. And there's a great place to get a hamburger walking distance and a beer thank you for the stay

Excellent stay. Amazing facilities. Staff was extremely professional. This will be my accomdation choice from now on when I'm in town on business.

All of them had good employees but Holiday Inn did have some workers pay more attention to non whites, other than that everything felt nice and peaceful, but I would like for them to fix their remote controllers they never work.

My family stayed here for a wedding. Not only was my room bad, but so were most of the rooms occupied by other family members. The air conditioner put out very humid air. The carpet felt wet and smelled awful. There was evidence of mold throughout the hotel. I will never stay here again.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable rooms. Wonderful customer service. Great place to stay. We will be staying here again.

I have stayed here multiple times for business trips. Staff is friendly, helpful and smiling when you walk through the door. If your lucky enough to stay when Ms. Rosie is on duty, you will see why it's easy to rate a five star. She goes well beyond what's expected to make you feel welcomed and comfortable.
Whether for business or family fun, I would easily recommend this hotel.

Very disappointing stay. Large decline since a year ago. Dirty bathroom, dirty mirrors, no Kleenex, broken coffee maker. Notified front desk of issues but was still the same the next day except Kleenex had been filled. Not happy at all with our stay.

One of the best quick stay hotels I've ever been to. Only chain hotel in it's category with some atmosphere and it's own vibe.

Clean rooms and nice lobby and common areas. Bathrooms and rooms seem recently updated but the building is a little dated. Staff isn't the most helpful and they seemed short-staffed.

Fire alarms went off @ 6 am throughout building for 10 mins they dont know what was going on. I arrived at 3am I wasn't planning on waking up till 9am

Our AC quit in our house the same day I had surgery. They were very accommodating with me especially when I was short cash they gave me a few hours to get it rounded up instead of demanding we leave. This is my second stay at an Express and it will NOT be my last.
