Houston Shoe Hospital reviews
24I had brown boots dyed black (cheaper than buying new ones) and the results were very good. The work was completed within the estimated time given. I have not had an opportunity to wear them as of yet (which is the only reason for the 4 stars). So, time will tell as to how well they will hold up. UPDATE: I am sad to say, the first day I wore my dyed boots, the edge that separates the boot and the sole cracked and split. I took the boot back to Houston Shoe Hospital and was told it could not be fixed. I was told it appears as though the shoe was dry rot. However, the attendant gave me a card indicating I could receive a reduction on any future shoe repairs. So, before you try to save money by not buying new shoes, make sure the shoe you would like to repair is not too old because in the long run, you are not saving money after all.
He did a good job with replacing the sole of my cowboy boots and they look brand new too! Nice guy too
Just took my shoes in for reconditioning for the fourth or fifth time. They always come back looking great!
I needed to get a King Ranch Duffel bag repaired, the handle has been broken for quite a while, and I was having a hard time finding someone to do the repairs. I read a review about Houston Shoe Hospital and wondered if they could do the repair. I dropped the bag off on Monday 11/12 and picked it up 11/15 and it was good as new. Also let me mention it only cost $30.00! Would recommend to anyone.
