This is pathetic. You are on hold for HOURS. Live chat is poorly ran and no one knows anything! When you finally get to someone, they have to transfer you somewhere else or have to do research for another 30 minutes or so! Get it together!

City of Houston residents should blow up Mayor Sylvester Turners, media accounts, emails, voicemails etc. In an attempt to get his attention on his staffs rude and unprofessional, dominating, customer service skills. They are the worst!

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would.
I have called countless of times and have been ON HOLD FOR 30+ MINUTES
And after awhile, they hang up on you!

Does anyone even work here?

I just DO NOT understand WHY COH would need so many dang tax forms to change a SIMPLE billing address. They are the ONLY utility that requires that. THEY ARE IMPOSSIBLE. There has got to be another company we can use. Please go the way of electric and gas and let us have the powertochoose! Bring on the deregulation.

Or i can call the news stations

We were billed for 23,000 gallons for one month and then suddenly our bill was back in the normal 13,000 gallon range the next month. Obviously it was a mistake on their end and they refuse to correct the mistake without sending a service person out. They said they are still behind and can’t get anyone out, but continue to send out interruption notices even though we continue to pay every other bill on time. Absolutely ridiculous!

This is government at its worst. If you want to see something poorly run and horribly staffed, give customer service a call.

It makes you wonder when your water bills jumps up over $200 in a month and they have no explanation and continue to tell you they are investigating and that I have to call back in 30 days. Now, I have to wait another 30 days because they have no resolution or explanation yet.

Terrible customer service which is what i have come to expect from a City of Houston Municipality Monopoly. Website is down or having technical issues majority of time i try to access my account online. Just plain awful.

They over charged me 668 dollars. I won that battle after 8 months. Well low and behold they did it again They said you are only allowed to fight one wrong billing in a year. ITS THEIR FAULT! Basically they can over charge as much as they want. You are only allowed to fight one of those over charges a year. My bill is usually 101 a month. They said I used 26,000 gallons. I could have filled Houston’s fire trucks with that amount.

My issue is they REQUIRE a SSN or you have to pay 100$ when a drivers license satisfies the statutes. They say the Drivers license is adequate, but still require a SSN to lower the deductible. If I have provided a letter of credit, provided my Texas ID, and satisfied the statutes, why am do i need to pay a 100$ deposit. They cannot say anything other then it is required or you pay the deposit. They cannot say why they won't accept other documents and why they require, specifically, the SSN.

A truck came to 14222 Langbourne Drive and ripped up my front yard and tore out my sidewalk. The street is still filthy and a partially filled in hole still has not been fixed. My sections of sidewalk were not poured. There is still caution tape hanging from my trees. I have gouged holes in my yard and 15 feet of dried mud partially filling the hole. The water nozzle is damaged for my neighbor trying to sell his home. The hole across the street also does not look good. There is dirt and mud and debris in the street. The 77077 water company is unsatisfactory and unprofessional. They destroy and make no plans to fix the damage they did.

Kept my deposit and claimed there wasn't one. The charges of the city of Houston water services being thieves are mounting. They routinely overcharge and refuse to correct. Keep your deposit though? Read the complaints online, I'm not the only one.

An awful, awful service experience. An absolute free for all. Just getting service stopped at my old house was an ordeal. These people are clowns.

Thieves. If the City of Houston charges for rain water, they might as well charge me for farting. This is ridiculous.

I've called them twice this morning.pressed "O" to speak to a representative.
Each time I'm on hold for 10 minutes or so, I hear the phone pick up and then hang up - TWICE. Make that THREE times, it just happened again.

This is ridiculous!
