J. Gilligan's Bar & Grill reviews
27Service was fine, however a regular instigated a fight with several patrons. Clientele seems subpar.
Always hits the spot. My dad came here in college and now I do too. Great food and memories are made here.
Closest you can get to a small, family run business in Arlington.
Probably, the best thing on the menu are their Irish Nachos, which are nachos with potato slices instead of chips. Their Philly Cheesesteak is decent but a little small. The burgers aren't anything special. And they serve chicken fried steak too but that's about it.
Exceedingly decent food all around for a bar, many people come to eat and not to drink. Only on St. Patty's does it get anywhere near normal bar volume. Rarely, noisy or rowdy or as obnoxious as other bars.
I visit this restaurant pretty regularly. They have amazing food and the best veggie burger in town. Excellent customer service as well.
The service there is really bad my wife otdered the Irish nachos with no tomatoes no chives of course it came out with tomatoes on it I ordered chicken fried steak with dinner salad mashed potatoes Salad came out same time the meal did told her instead bring me some okra, never got the okra. But Randy took care of it!
Been going here for lunch at work for years and it never disappoints! I get the buffalo chicken sandwich and it’s always great!
Best onion rings I've ever had. I'm sure that's not what they're known for but it has to be said that they are amazing.
Great place to hangout with some friends after work or just for live music. Strong country style bar, many locals and regulars. Bartenders are pretty chill, might take a while to get a drink depending on the amount of people there. Reasonably priced drink and food.
Wow. What a dump. Ordered a top shelf margarita for $7. Not bad. Ordered a regular margarita for $5.50.worst margarita of my life!
J Gilligans as always was great to eat at before my favorite shuttle driver "COACH" dropped us off in front of the Cowboys stadium. My wife and I always come to J Gilligans for our Cowboys games. I won't ever change that. Love y'all J Gilligans.
I give them 5 stars b/c yhe shuttle service to At&t stadium is awesome.you can also get a solid meal and drinks prior to your event here.will always return!
I met a collegue at this establishment and ordered the Irish Nachos that I hear so much about, but its a lot of cheese, potatoes and bacon. Yes, yummy, but not for me. I ate a small portion but to me, they are a heart attack waiting to happen. Lol. Nice place though.
A great place to hangout with buddies and have a quick drink. It will put you at ease after a long tiring day or week. Ambience is happening and gets you into a fun mood. Music is good but your opinion might be variable as it depends on individual taste. All in all a good place to be to and a great place if you are a Texas Cowboys fan ;)
We always tailgate before and after games so we miss the game action here. But other than that, it's a favorite place. Great staff and the grub is good. I've left a good deal of my paycheck here.
The Irish nachos was extremely good, mixture of jalapeños, cheese and bacon! It is a big Appetizer that can feed more than one person. Beef Quesadillas we’re okay but had better. Not a fan of the beans, it was lacking in flavor. Customer service was good and the prices were reasonable. It is really loud and crowded if are going for drinks, there is also a karaoke bar.
Had a taste of Irish potato nachos. Sounds strange but tastes amazing. Good food and interesting atmosphere. I liked it.
Its great as a themed restaurant but they don't serve quality food, though some may argue the contrary! Anybody that likes to take care of thier body will hate to have eaten there! Nice staff and nice place for good times!
It was amazing. I had the philly cheese stake and it was delicious. The owner is an amazing and sweet guy, we met at Walgreens and he told me about the place. I will definitely go there again the next time am in Arlington.
The best place in Arlington. If you only visit once, get the Irish Nachos. Every entree I've had is good, but those are the best! Service is solid, even with a crowd, they were on top of it. Nice looking interior too, neon signs and photos of people who have been regulars over the years hang from the walls.
