LA Fitness, Houston TX

This is a great gym but some of the staff is jealous, unprofessional, and think they own La Fitness verses just being entry level workers.

Sometimes during the week after work it's a little crowded besides that not a bad place to work out

This was by far the best la fitness I have been to yet. I play racquetball and they have 5 courts that are kept cold and there are a lot of players active at this location. The water is conveniently located. The locker room is nice and clean. The machines are spaced reasonably. Overall, great gym.

It was quite irresponsible of the staff to not enforce the mask requirement when I was a member in 2020. I stopped going and did not renew. Case counts were skyrocketing but LA Fitness was "oh well. " Now they bombard me with emails saying, "no mask required. " I say, "what changed? "

This is a great fitness center. I go primarily for the pool. Pool area is very well kept, water is consistently clean and at a temperature comfortable for lap swimming (meaning it's a bit on the cooler side). The women's locker room and showers are also clean. They have a nice whirlpool. I love the fact that this is an adult facility, no kids in the pool. I've been to several other locations but Briar Forest is my favorite. Convenient, plenty of parking. Starbucks right around the corner.

Worst experience with their training program, paid for 6 months. Not satisfied, and to cancel it you have to buyout half price. Trainers teaches only one type of exercise over the 3 months, everybody save your time and save your money.

I just spoke with the new manager. He took care of the issue and is working to improve conditions there. I have noticed that the quality of the service and facilities is really dependent on the manager. Get a good one like one there now and things are good.

This site discriminates against handicapped people. They have decided to keep the family changing room locked making impossible to assist people with special needs. When I complained to the front desk the lady said the manager wanted it closed then turned her back on me. I have called to talk to the manager, but he will not return my calls.

I guess people in wheelchairs are not cool enough for them.

It’s fine to do your job but do it without the smugness, makes me prefer Shelly from a year ago lol. Also need to be upfront and not waste people’s time. I pay my money to I actually have a deal though my employer to work our at a higher end gym for the same amount a month.

Many of the treadmills, cycling bikes, and other machines are broken and stay broken for weeks. There is a constant leak from the pool into the cycling area.

-I tell the staff 3 days out of the week that a treadmill is broken and usually they are very nice, but it never gets fixed.

I wish I could give this place a zero star they were so rude worst experience I’ve had I’m glad that I didn’t sign up with them I don’t recommend this place at all!

Clean location. Lots of free weights. Feel like the staff could be a little more friendly but other than that its good.

Most of the staff is very sweet and helpful. The only one who doesn’t know how to act and how to handle situations is Brittany? She wouldn’t even give out her name. Someone really needs to teach her how to behave and how to talk to people.

The General Manager at this location is extremely unprofessional and would rather flirt with girls working out than pay attention to a disruptive guest. Absolutely ridiculous! My husband and I will not be returning and will probably cancel our LA Fitness memberships. We will be sure to tell all of our friends who live in this area.

The place is nice but it feels hot which guess it’s good if you want to sweat. The equipment are good but not brand new. The place is clean.

This place is so hot.it is like they are trying to keep the electricity bill at an all time low. You start to sweat before you make it up to the second floor. I have gone for a month now and have complained they could care less. The other 2 locations such as Park Row and Silber are great.

Absolutely filthiest LA Fitness that I have been to, but other than that I like it and it's in a great location for me.

Gym used to be much better before the invasive, obnoxious, and dreaded personal training area that consumes half the gym. Equipment is decently maintained. Can get crowded at times, which would be alleviated by more machines but no space because personal training just hogs everything

We go 3 times a week, including twice to Silver Sneakers and once to Aquafitness. The instructors are very good. The dressing rooms ok, but could use better and more showers. Also, the gym for Silver Sneakers is too warm for most of us. The rest of the gym is cooler which makes us think Corporate makes the temperature higher in that gym because most of us are women.

What kind of Jim or stuff is this. A/C breaks down ocationly, the Jim close almost every two weeks because of some sort of maintenance.stuff.are just rude

This location is always super crowded and really humid inside. Also, nobody bothers to put weights or equipment back when they're done.
