Life Time Fitness - San Antonio 281 reviews
26This gym does not enforce a mask policy. There are signs posted, yet masks are only required upon entry of the building. After that, it's free reign. This is sketchy, and dangerous. Just comply like everyone else so we can be done with all of this.
Very well maintained gym and the employees are very courteous. Also they are doing a great job with the covid rules. I’m seeing a lot of 1 star reviews because of masks but most people follow the rules, you can’t make the employees mask police, covid #’s are way down I mean get over yourselves you
mask lunatics. It’s a gym, we need to breathe
Unbelievable, I came there to get information
And the girl who was at the entrance couldn't even give me an idea of the price.
She told me to go on the internet.
Indeed, I understand better why in the future this kind of job will be replaced by artificial intelligence.
On a recent trip to San Antonio, my family and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio North hotel, and my daughter loves to swim, we asked about the pool, the lady at the reception told us that the pool area was closed and she told us that while we stay at the hotel we could use the LIFE TIME facilities for free, excellent suggestion, we loved the facilities and the indoor pool
This gym has plenty of great amenities but it means nothing when you have so many people not wearing masks. There are signs everywhere that tell the members to use them at all times. However, I'd say less than 5% of the people at this gym follow these rules. I like going to this gym but I'd rather see it shut down instead of becoming another covid Hotspot. I plan on reporting it and hoping an inspector will come out soon to assess.
My daughter’s back was hurt by a careless counselor during the Lifetime Fitness Summer Camp. She has severe bruises on her back. This was just one of the many examples of frustrations with this gym. Will be suing Lifetime Fitness if they’re unwilling to make this right with my family.
(To see pics of the bruises, tap on my name, then tap on photos.)
Amazing facilities, great staff. The spa is awesome as well- if you want a life changing experience get a massage from Lea
They need to change the lockers and let the patrons use their own locks. The staff can open up any locker and they may not always ask for identification. I recently had my locker broken into and I don't know if it was with the assistance of the staph. There was a story of a Staff member in another city ripping people off. Since lifetime says they are not responsible for any valuables which are stolen, then it only makes sense we should have an option to use our own locks.
Rejoined in May after years away and couldn’t be happier. Working with a trainer to get a personalized workout routine and she has been wonderful. Can get busy at times, but that is what you would expect from a nice gym. Very good classes.
Best gym in town for the family. **Update** "Safety should always be first. " From that review to a gym with a disregard for the safety of its members I found this pool light on the floor of pool after telling lifeguard I was told it happens all the time. What a shame for such a nice gym. I also informed the pool manager who stated there are many lights like that and she has a work order in but the light company is not returning calls. Safety should always be first.
This is a Platinum club. The employees are great, but the patrons (some) are questionable. Putting your weights back is optional, wiping down equipment is optional. It can be overlooked, just kind of sad. Great club though. Bad reviews probably come from folks that probably shouldn’t be at a Lifetime in the first place.
Best gym i've ever joined
Professional friendly staff, price is def affordable & it is a place for the whole family, you could stay here for a whole day enjoying all the wonderful things being provided here!
Although crowded sometimes, I always love the environment that Lifetime offers. I really love that its 24 hours for my busy days, and really can get lost exploring all that they have to offer.
Lots of classes and the facilities overall are very nice. I like the cafe and lounge area. The bathrooms in the ladies area could use an extra check or two throughout the day. The staff is helpful and the kids water play area is great.
If you go before 9pm, the place is going to be overcrowded and the free weight area is a disaster. Patrons don't rerack their weights and the club doesn't seem to care either.
Either the times on the Lifetime App are wrong or the club just ignores their schedule. Either way, you can't find out for sure because nobody wants to answer the phone. Both clubs in town have recorded messages that are several months old.
Do not try to swim between 4 and 7: 30 pm. They have swim club and there is no room.
Family locker room is used as a shortcut through the gym which is really annoying. Apparently walking an extra 30 steps to go around is too much to ask at the gym.
The spin room is adequate as is the cardio area, plenty of equipment. There is a great body fat machine, but I have been told it is only available when working with a personal trainer.
I called before hand and they told me that the indoor water slide was open from 10 a.m. To 8 p.m. And when I went it was closed and people were very uncooperative the only reason I gave it a one-star was because the Zumba lady was AMAZING!
Tons of programs. Child care is a game changer. Outdoor pool in the Summer feels like an exclusive spot to hang out. Locks on the lockers had been a problem but it looks like they are addressing them.
This is a nice fitness center. The personal trainers were pushy trying to get people to sign up.
Awful customer treatment, the amount of policies in place to get money out of their customers pocket is staggering. A great gym does not need all those fees and contracts, it will retain customers via experience/value
Everything is very clean and has a safe environment, but that comes to a high cost. The last straw was on hidden price increases have been a member since 2012 just cant pay that much for something i barely use.
