Metro 5514 reviews
26Not a safe place to live I been living in this place for a year an I have seen that they have still the tires to a cars an today the still the 2 caliber converter to my vehicle the y always making a lot noise.
My sister & her roommate lived at this apartment complex for about 2 years. You get the bang for your buck with this apartment complex. Large den, large walk-in closet, washer & dryer. Great apartment to have the much-needed space. Loved coming here! Thanks!
This apartment is a joke and a scam, they only respond to people that give them good reviews and send everyone else to billing so they won't have to deal with the extra charges they put on your account. These positive reviews are fake and damage control because they couldn't even maintain a 3.5 and now they're at 4, and I just moved out last month.
I agree with Isabella post, the apartment I lived in had mold. Nothing was done. I also agree with Mohammad roaches were out of control in the apartment I lived in. I have to constantly stay on the manager, Erica and the staff about problems in the apartment. I put in a work request and I was told they only are taking care of emergency work request. Although my work request is not considerate as the manager, Erica, would put it as an emergency, but it's an emergency too me because it's causing me an inconvenience. I don't think I should be treated any differently than anybody else here who they say work request is more important than my request. I pay rent just like everybody else and on time.
I don't like to post negative reviews but I regret the day that I signed the lease at Metro 5514. The mold is out of control and caused my roommate to cough up blood. They have yet to acknowledge their negligence. They have also failed to provide us with our security deposit despite us meeting all requirements. The train right next door goes off at all hours of the day/night. You can spend an hour just a minute down the street waiting for the train to pass. The noise also woke me up almost every night. There is no sense of community in the complex. The management is difficult to get to. The gate is always open. Someone was shot in the building next to us and management lied about the circumstances in which the murder occurred. If you have the option, please avoid Metro 5514. It is the worst place I have ever lived and hope that an external force looks into how management operates there. Also, Assurant insurance is not reliable.
DO NOT MOVE IN THESE APARTMENTS! I am a student at Rice University, and decided to move into these apartments by far the worst experience I have EVER had! The buildings is filled with roaches! Gang violence and the police truck is only good for towing other people's car, that's all they do! We litterly had people pounding on our door at 3AM! The staff members are extremely lazy and do not cooperate! At the end they will charge for everything water Bill's that they come up with and dont make any sense! Browken Blinds that you complaint for a million times, that had dirt and WEIRD ORGANISMS FORMING ON IT! Water is out almost every everyweek! And the insects problem is really bad! The building itself isn't to bad, but overall these apartments are horrible and I wouldn't even recommend these apartments to someone I hate! At the end of your misery of living here they will come up with fees, just to make money off of you the blinds I complaint for the first day I moved in they even charged for that! And also as these apartments are different from other, you dont have to clean the apartment because they want professional to clean them. NO MATTER HOW CLEAN THEY WERE! At the end these people are money hungry and in my opinion I wouldn't even rate them a one star!
Lived here for 2 years. We had a large two bedroom apartment. It’s spacious here.
The first day I packed, have all my furnitures to move in. Opened the door found everywhere was dirty. Walls and bathrooms had dirty spots. Bathtub was so old that I could tell they just used a layer of white paint like thing to cover the surface, could chip off easily. We told the leasing office about it. They were nice. Said we take our stuff back and move in one week later. They were friendly, but we drive all the furnitures to where? She also said the amount we paid for the electricity and water for that week would be minimal.
The area is really dangerous, heard gunshots every night I lived there.
Homeless people live in the park right outside of the gate. People can get in all the time.
Water shutoff almost every month.
Package get stolen multiple times.
My roommate car parts got stolen.
I’ve lived here for 2 years and I’m very happy here. The ladies in the office are very helpful and nice and maintenance is great. I would definitely recommend this place to call home!
I went to view an apartment here and am in love with the place cant wait to move in. The staff is super friendly. Sussie did great in explaining all the fees and how the renting process goes. (first time renter here). I’ve looked around other places and the atmosphere in this place makes you feel welcomed
I came in to look for an apartment today and the lady that helped me was very sweet. I loved the apartment and I’m looking forward to moving in the middle of next month just in time for Christmas.
I toured today at this property and I was amazed by the politeness of the staff, they are so welcoming. I would definitely be looking to lease here when my lease is up next month.
We to see an apartment.it was really nice.the people in the office are so helpful. I’m planning on coming over when my lease expires in December.my friend lives there and she Loves it.
It was a great pleasure living at Metro 5514. I enjoyed the stay and will recommend to others. The staff was great and always pleasant.
This place was nice and spacious until they tripled are rent because they had an unfinished metro rail "coming soon, " after I had to deal with the construction for two years! That is a shady practice and it is a sketchy neighborhood and all there is around there is a fiesta so not worth the price. Also, I do not miss the train that would come by every single time I left my apartment and it would stop and reverse for 20 minutes before it moved out of the way and you could hear it through the walls of the apartment.
They should treat their tenants better and maybe they would have a higher rating.
The apartment complex is decently spacious although we had a cockroach problem the six months we stayed here. The staff is decent, at times it was a mission trying to talk to someone. Not many pros about living here. Maintenance is good as long as you're okay with waiting a few days for minor things and up to a couple of weeks for major things.
Can’t wait to move, I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY LEASE! I wish I could get someone to take over my lease, I should’ve just went with my first mind & continued to look but I was kind of in a rush due to losing my apartment during Harvey! These apartments are too expensive to be dealing with the things we deal with (roaches, water being shut off for hours), Can’t wait to be moving my things out September 2018, bye byeeee Metro 5514!
If you have no choice other than to live here I wish you luck. First off it’s not in a good neighborhood so be prepared to hear shootings frequently. The safety of this building is horrendous and the gates are always breaking. They have “security guards” at night who really just leave their siren lights on to scare off people when they aren’t physically there. The AC units are old and you can’t request to replace it unless it’s broken. You WILL have a high electricity bill so add an extra 100 to your rent. There’s a lot of leaks and plumbing issues so they have to turn off the water atleast once or twice a month. Please AVOID this place at all costs.
Don’t waste your time or money! They made everything a living nightmare. They are only out for your money. Management need some serious help. They will not answer your calls, and they will hang up in your face. They’re customer service is trash all together. They overcharged me and don’t even notice the problem! I️ wish I️ never walked foot into this place.
Advantages:
1. Their apartment sizes are huge and when I say huge trust me they are
2. I have never seen bigger kitchens than what they have in a two bedroom.
3. It is a gated community
4. YMCA is very close
5. Rents are lower than they usually should be
6. Commute to downtown
Disadvantages:
1. No Club house, No Pool NOTHING (but YMCA is really close)
2. Community is gated but its not the safest place if you want to walk outside the community
Great environment to live in. Very quiet and people keep to themselves. A lot of students and some families. Loving pet community. Spacious apartments and maintenance helps with any request. Extremely friendly leasing staff who work with you when you need help. I highly recommend living here, especially for UH students, even more so for UH graduate students.
