Mikado Ryotei reviews
24This place is aswesome. The sushi is always fresh and never have to wait for your food. I love this spot.
Where to even start?
The salmon in their sushi literally melts in your mouth, yellowtail is fresh and amazing. All day Happy Hour on Sundays, amazing flavored sake selection, décor is elegant, neat, and tasteful. Service is quick, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Any of their sushi, shu mai, and calamari are all my biggest recommendations! Fuji apple sake was perfect.
Great atmosphere and wonderful rolls! We went during happy hour and we were blown away with how cheap everything is priced for what you get! We sat at the bar and our bartender Cassandra was amazing and super helpful with the menu.will be back very soon!
This has been mine and my wife's go-to sushi, date night, for over 14 years! Always a parking spot up front and the waitstaff is usually always on point, aaaaand the sushi is terrific! My favorites are the fatty tuna, the unagi, salmon, the dragon roll and the mikado roll.
Sushi here was pretty good. I got a spicy tuna roll and a rock ‘n roll piece as well. At lunch the prices are reasonable at $13 for two rolls. If I eat here again, I’d get it to go as there was an unpleasant smell at the entrance. Also, we had to wait a good amount of time for our lunch and we were there before the lunch rush.
This place is usually more quiet, but it’s sushi quality is great for the price. The sushi chefs are accommodating and all the rolls look and taste superb. Service is great too, although we noticed some seats are not cleaned too thoroughly and had some sticky spots (not a big deal but it was off putting).
I've been coming here for years. The sushi is always fresh and top notch. Make sure to try their seaweed salad it is one of the best I have ever had. Their happy hour pricing is very good. The service can sometimes be a little slow but other than that this place is a very good value.
A perfect lunch!
Delicious Miso soup!
A salad with a dressing from 天国 (heaven)!
And Yakisoba Chicken perfectly made!
(And I forgot pictures.)
Next trip!
I will definitely be dining here again!
My wife and I went on date night the food was delicious loved the mussels and sushi.the server forgot to order one of our dishes but the food that we did eat was on point so it still made it to my 5 start opinion
I am here visiting Austin for work purposes. I searched a while for a sushi restaurant that served stuffed peppers. Once I arrived to the restaurant, I did observe how clean and welcoming the environment setup was. The issues were the following:
I waited 10 minutes before I was greeted and an extra 5 for the waitress to inquire my order. The waitress had two friends enter the establishment and served them right away. She actually seated them BEFORE me and asked me to wait again. So I waited. I think if they had not walked in, my wIt time would’ve been longer. When she finally took my order, she told me the stuffed peppers were no longer on the menu. I think I would’ve taken the news better if the customer service was there. I’ll also add that prior to the waitress taking my order, I heard her yelling and talking rude to another staff member in the back. I could also tell the guy making the sushi was sensing my frustration due to my wait time.
I didn’t order any food. When I told the waitress I would leave her response was “What? ”.
The reverse happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays is worth waiting for. The calamari is the best thing I've eaten the year. It it's usually quiet, and the wait staff is very respectful and doesn't my interrupt. The food is not always the fastest, but it's very tasty and generally reasonably priced.
Clean and very Professional Staff.food. Sushi was very good. I tried 3 differant kinds.very Good. Tried the Sake-bomb.with a kirin.bier < - German. Give it a try.
Excellent nigiri and tigers eye roll. Amazing chicken karaage. Tasty green tea ice cream. Large portions for the price. Server was very professional. Great experience.
One of my favorite places for tasty Sushi. Service is excellent even when they are busy. It has a nice atmosphere. I see why this place has a lot of good reviews.
I haven't had sushi this good in a long time. Perri was very friendly, and carefully explained the menu and answered any questions we had. I most definitely will come back for happy hour
Been here several times and the food is always great. I typically share an appetizer, sushi combo, and another roll. I like the hamachi chili from the tapa menu
Very quiet atmosphere and food was good. The price is what you'd expect at most Japanese style restaurants and the Salmon Teriyaki was amazing. The calamari was not that tasty.
Our server, Ethan, was wonderful. Watching his attentiveness and courtesy to two elderly guests made my day.
Waiter was not only incredibly unresponsive but had no knowledge of menu. By the time we received our meal there was nothing we ordered nor any remedy given by manager.
I’ve never been more embarrassed to bring a date.
Prices are fair, food isnt bad but atmosphere is horrible. Everything looks olds a and worn out. Less is more, but they decided to use all the decorations.
