Teppanyaki Restaurant Shogun reviews
30Over price and salty food, bad customer service and everything around looks dirty from the floor to the dishes. Would not come back
The food was wonderful, our special (cook) was good humoured and our party ate everything. He made it a special fathers day for my Son and his family.
Japanese restaurant with full bar & full sushi bar. Section with habachi grills. I'm guessing 6-8 grills for special occasions or everyday use.
The chef comes out and cooks & does a little show at the same time. Def.worth the price. Mixed drinks run $9-10. Food was great
Great crew, great bartender! Definitely will go back!
Hosting service was not good! - several open tables when we arrived, but they did not seat us. Server couldn't understand drink order - had to repeat it 3 times - and then the bartender had to come out to take order? It was a chilled shot of Kettle One Vodka - not that hard people. Rating based on bad service - food was just ok.
The food tasted off to me and I should have stopped eating when I realized. I ended up getting food poisoning and vomited everything up. Very pricey too compared to other hibachi places.
The food tastes great and have had great service but I've ordered the shaggy dog roll togo and have found hair twice now. No appetite to go back here.
Pretty good sushi. The atmosphere is great and the service is as well. The sashimi was fresh and all the cuts were too! Definitely coming back soon.
Fast and friendly staff! Had the steak teriyaki and the chicken teppanyaki. Very tasty in large portions!
Came excited to have habachi but the wait was 2 hours so we decided to sit in the front. Ordered lobster, filet, and shrimp combo meal. Everything was cold when it arrived and the “filet” was not even filet it was probably sirloin (see pictures). Asked to speak to manager after telling the waitress. Her response was “do you want me to microwave it. ” I said no I want fresh food and when the manager came out he said he would have them remake it. Next plate came out okay but was not even hungry at that point, just disappointed in a ruined date night and cranky baby who had to sit there twice at long. All I can picture is the movie Waiting when i sent the food back. Will never come back and will recommend people stay away they will try to cheat you and serve old food. *update* wife already stuck sitting on the toilet afraid to get out of the fetal position. Can’t stay open for much longer If all they do is use recycled old food and microwave it for 15 seconds before Serving it.
Awful. Was excited to go as we’ve seen a couple of these around. Wait was too long for hibachi so we sat in the dining area instead. First disappointment. Got cold food, like everything was cold, we also ordered filet as part of it and got sirloin. When complaint was made our server asked if she wanted her to microwave it. NO NO! I can do that at home not at the restaurant I came out to eat at. Second plate came out and it was at least warm but still not hot. Disappointed all around in staff and food. Also got sick by the time we got home which never ever happens to me. Maybe a coincidence but it’s a bit fishy!
We waited an hour to be seated at a hibachi. We could have chosen a table and been seated much faster, though. Staff was great and the food was cooked perfectly.
Waitress was more like a bus boy than a server. Never asked if we wanted another drink, zero personality, not friendly, basically rushed us out of an already slow restaurant. Food was good but nothing special.
Excellent hibachi (had the beef, medium rare). Have had the sushi there in the past and it is also excellent.
Sad to say cant find one nice thing other than the wine was ok.
Half a star would be generous!
I like the food and the live tables. You better make reservations for the live tables though or you'll be waiting up to an hour to get a seat. The regular dining tables are very small and hard to accommodate more than just 2 people in a 4 seated space. Clean atmosphere and nice wait staff.
Really nice and polite waitress. Second time I ordered scallops and the texture was chewy/rubbery. Other than that the rest of the food was great.
This place is awesome! Food & service is great. I had the skydiver roll & softshell crab. Also you must try the eel.
I've been here a few times, mostly for business dinners and everything has been ok. This last time I was rather disappointed with the chef. (The waiter was great) He wasn't very enthusiastic while he cooked on the hibatchi, and burned some of the food. I mean he didn't even bother to make a proper onion volcano. He just stacked some onions up and they fell over. He pushed the pile of onions around with his spatula and made train noises. It was a Trainwreck alright.
Great food for a reasonable price. Just getting the rolls is more than enough, but the hibachi dinner is even better.
