35This is my first experience with both buying a Subaru and being with the Five Star family. The buying process was a breeze and when I took my car in to have the windows tinted, the service department was amazing. Sean had everything set up and it was done in no time! Everyone that I have dealt with has just been the most amazing and helpful people ever.
Let me just start off by saying Spencer is the best salesman i've dealt with, made everything quick and easy. Reached out to me and communicated with me through the whole process. If Interested in a vehicle here. Go see Spencer!
Sales and service folks are very down to earth. New car buying process was easy and straightforward. Service folks seem to under promise and over deliver.

Bill Klozik is a great person at the dealership to work with. The best person you could ever meet, he always takes care of you. He will even remember your purchase anniversary and will keep in touch with you. Any questions, call him. David the General Manager is another wonderful person to work with.
To summarize, they are the best dealership, if you are looking to purchase a vehicle and have a long term relationship, look nowhere else.
Servicing the vehicle is another plus at this dealership, wonderful people to work with. They take care of everything from a-z. Just a treat to work with all the people at this dealership.
I recommend the dealership 1000%.
Service department is full of crooks playing tricks. Don't waste your money buying a service package for anything after buying your car-its just a scam and it won't help you in the slightest when needed. And don't expect a loaner when they can't fix your car.
Use caution when purchasing from their used car selection. We purchased a used 2010 SUV over the summer, and have had nothing but problems with the car. To make matters worse, their finance department has been extremely poor in returning phone calls in regards to automobile warranty plan. Extremely polite before buying.extremely distant and non-responsive after purchase.

I'm not sure I can brag on Sean R.enough. Not only was he super knowledgeable but I always felt like he had my best interest at heart. He worked so hard for us, was incredibly patient and was a joy to be around. It is obvious that he LOVES his job and the company he works for. We couldn't have asked for a better experience working with him. I'll be sending everyone I can his way and, the next time I need a car, he is the first person I am calling!
Purchased a used Lexus IS250 from these guys back in December 2016. They gave me a great deal and the car has been great for the last 2 years.
Had a great experience getting a new Subaru wrx. I highly suggest Mr. Kesling Rutger if your looking for a new car he absolutely went out of his way to get the absolute greatest possible deal.
November 2018 Update: Yesterday I brought the Forester in for an 18-month maintenance package. In one hour they did a high-grade oil change, rotated the tires, completed the usual multi-point inspection, and washed the car completely inside out. All of that was free, and they returned the car with a smile. It was the same way at 12 months. All free. I couldn't speak more highly of this dealership. They are among the very best at what they do.
Original post in April 2017: I bought a Forester from Five Star Subaru today. There were two main reasons:
1. Professional and knowledgeable staff. Not only do they know cars, but they know Subaru cars, and not only do they know which car package has what feature, but they also know how the features work, and how well they work.
2. Service shop/area. This is difficult and probably expensive to build and run, but it is the less glamorous and less appreciated part of a dealership, so it takes desire to do it right - building it right to start and keeping it that way, The service area at Five Star is impressive, Very spacious, organized and super clean. Very "Japanese" like. I saw it in the morning when they opened, and it remained well maintained throughout the day.
The staff there is nice, but you also get that at many (not all) dealerships. Here they are nice, and the bonus is that they take pride in their business and know their stuff. This dealership deserves the "five star" in their name without question.
John-Michael Mosqueda was extremely friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, and prompt. He made sure I was familiarized with the vehicle as well as being happy with it. Once the deal was made I was driving off in less time of any of my past dealership experiences.
I experienced zero sales pressure.
Five Star Subaru of Grapevine will continue to get my business, as well as my recommendations.

I called Lauren Bayles on a Wednesday, she emailed me a list of paperwork that took me about 15 minutes. Two hours later, I drove to the dealership, took a test drive, and less than 2 hours later, I drove off in my new car! No haggling, they even gave me a better deal than I was expecting! Lauren was amazing and I can't be happier with the entire process!
When I totaled my car, I was not looking forward to the car buying experience. I had heard horror stories from people about how awful it is to deal with car salesmen and dealerships. That was NOT my experience.
I reached out to the dealership via USAA and promptly received a call from Dustin. I told him I was just looking and was still waiting for more details from USAA about my car. Dustin said to let him know when I was ready to come check out cars and he’d be happy to help me with the process.
Here is why I bought from him: He didn’t call me every day. He didn’t blowup my email. He patiently waited until I contacted him. If only every dealership could be like this! I was getting 50 calls a day from dealerships and Dustin was the only one who wasn’t hassling me.
Throughout the process, Dustin and his co-worker Phillip walked me through every step. Aware that I was new to the car buying scene, they carefully explained everything to me and did not try to mislead or trick me into buying something I did not want. They carefully went over pricing with me and ended up giving me a 2019 Forester Limited at cost!
They had to order one for me but they kept me updated on its delivery date and even sent me pictures when it arrived.
On top of all this, they let me bring my dog into the dealership, offered him water and even let him get into the cars to see how they would work for him. They also gave him a Subaru leash!
I cannot day enough good things about this dealership and Dustin and Phillip. If I ever need another car, I will absolutely come back to Five Star Subaru in a heartbeat! Hands down the best customer service I’ve ever experienced.

The purchase went relatively well. However, it has been two months and we still do not have permanent plates for the vehicle. I have contacted Subaru Grapevine repeatedly about this issue. When I called yesterday, I was told their registration person had recently left the dealership. They were supposed to sort it out and call me back. No one ever called me back, so I called again today. The person I spoke with today told me the delay was out of their (Subaru Grapevine) control. I was told I could come pick up new temporary plates while I wait. I asked for the temporary plates to be delivered to me instead. I am waiting on them to call me back with an answer.again. I hope they make this right.
Edited to add- the dealership just delivered new temp tags to us, just over an hour after I spoke with them by phone. They have assured us they will follow up on the issue with the permanent plates on Monday.

Great service, great staff, they have a big waiting room with charging ports, snacks, and drinks! You can't really ask for anything more from a service center.
