Tellepsen Family Downtown YMCA reviews
34Great facility, extensive, very well maintained, lots of equipment, friendly and courteous, work out towels provided, free parking to 2 hours.
The gym facility is awesome - classes are awesome. However, I will never bring my child her for childcare again. I went to go pick up my daughter and saw one of the women in the back aggressively changing another infant and letting her head swing all over while picking her up.my daughter cries the minute she sees their faces and is hysterical every time I pick her up.something is just not right here (she is now 4 months old). The ladies in the back taking care of infants don't seem to be very patient, and I've watched them become overwhelmed when all the babies start crying leading to careless actions when handling other peoples children. I think the management needs to re-evaluate who they are hiring back there! Hope this helps any moms out there!
Very nice facility. Clean, updated equipment, nice locker rooms, lots of choices. Indoor pool with hot tub and sauna.
The membership is pricey but it is worth it if you come here often enough! They have great facilities and the staff is friendly. Parking can be a problem during peak hours
Absolutely love the Y! The staff, the trainers, the equipment, the locker room is clean and your things are safe. The patrons are all warm and friendly. Can't say enough good things about it. My home away from home!
Service is great, lap pool is often busy but with a ten minute wait a lane can be found open. Parking is free two max, then a fee is charged to your account. Parking can be found free around the city blocks after 6pm free
One of the most modernized and best gyms in H-Town.quite a place in the midst of downtown. The equipment is super nice and they have lots of good classes going around all through the week. The pool and jacuzzi are an added attraction while the racquetball and basketball courts are one of the best in business.
Love the Y. This one has so much to do and see. The facility is Ginormous and they have great people in the facility. The smell of food when you walk in is offensive and the parking when the lot is full is a pain but this Y is thumbs up. THEY SHOULD HAVE SAMPLES OF THE FOOD AND SHAKES FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TO SMELLED THE FOOD!
Friendly and lively. This Y has great equipment, plenty of locker room space and a variety of group exercise programs at convenient times.
Professional dressed African American and waiting for bus I was not allowed to use restroom by Carol Trieble.
How unfortunate.
I've been to other Y's & this one is the best. Very clean, friendly staff. The child care is awesome too.
Everything is great there, except for some individuals that's at the desk, their attitude is unprofessional. Not genuinely friendly. They talk behind customers backs! Make fun of ppl without having an understanding of that person situation. But I love going there be cause that's a clean ass gym.
Great equipment and spacious. Very helpful and friendly staff. I chose it as my second favorite place to workout.
Clean, clean, clean, working out in a clean place is the most important factor for me. This YMCA does a great job doing that. Thank you for the management to make everyone follow the rules, specially the rule of going into the steam or dry saunas without shoes and in shorts.
