Texas MedClinic, New Braunfels TX

I recently went to Texas Med Clinic on I-35 access road. I didn’t have to wait long before seeing a doctor. I was treated very well. If I ever needed to go back, I would do so without hesitation.

Easy and quick service. The website is not the easiest to navigate in terms of booking an appointment but they do walk-in's with a wait no longer than 30 min. I recently went in with cough, congestion, and headache symptoms and they took me in right away. They don't take Medicare.

I can’t put 0 stars? Coming here just reminded me that these places are just here for the money, not your well-being.

Waited an hour and half to be seen and the parking lot was almost empty (not too big of a deal) but then when the doctor came in and I was trying to explain my pain I was interrupted and I didn’t get to finish she gave me her “guess” on what it was and didn’t give me much information on what prescription I was receiving. And when I tried to talk about my pain again she interrupts again and says “well you seem fine, you’re moving fine” the whole reason why I went in there, and I “seemed fine” I still have SO many questions about my pain and the diagnosis I was given, I’m pretty sure she said she would come back into the room and she never did

Very clean and the staff was warm and friendly. No wait time to be seen and the doctor was right in after the nurse who took my vitals. He spent a lot of time going over the reason I came in and let me ask as many questions as I needed to feel comfortable with my care. I would absolutely return to this location!

It was quick and easy to get an appointment, did it online with my phone. Filled out all necessary paperwork and history online also while waiting, even lets you upload pictures of your ID and insurance card, so everything was extremely quick and streamlined. I didn't have to wait at all when I walked in, and every single staff member I saw was so kind and compassionate. They are very professional and treat you with a lot of respect. If this company hasn't recognized the staff at this particular clinic location, they certainly need to. From someone who hates going to doctors and hospitals, I wish I could have this clinic as my PCP. That's saying a lot coming from me.

I registered online before arriving at the facility, which sped things up. I was suffering from terrible pain from a UTI & I’m so glad they took me right back almost immediately. RX prescribed quickly & efficiently. Thank u TexMed Clinic!

Update: Destiny called me and asked me to tell her my experience. She was patient to hear, relatable, and amended the situation. Although my experience to begin with was not good, she cared enough to not just make it right but wants to improve the problems I experienced so they don’t continue.

Go to any other clinic but this one. The customer service and lack of knowledge I experienced with the staff is disappointing. Save yourself the frustration I have experienced and go somewhere else.

Had a 4: 35 appointment. Arrived 4: 10 as they requested. Escorted to exam room at 4: 15. Seen by doctor for a sports physical at 5: 25. Waited in exam room for 1 hour and 10 minutes including 50 MINUTES PAST OUR APPT TIME. Dr.exam lasted 4 minutes and 30 seconds. I timed it. Their time is valuable but so is the patients. Need to respect patients time too. If you can't honor an appointment, then tell the patient. That's why we make an appointment. Very, very, very poor customer care.

Fast, quick testing. Was done with results in under an hour. I understand that rapid tests could be inaccurate if you take the test too early but I am happy with the efficiency and professionalism of these healthcare workers. I appreciate them and all they do on the front lines caring for us individuals on a daily basis. Thank you for all you do and more!

The few minutes I was in there were awful. There was not a car in sight outside the clinic at 8: 04, and the website stated their clinic was closed so I was not able to check in online. When I went in I greeted the lady up front who didn’t make eye contact with me and had a horrible attitude. I explained to her how I couldn’t check in online yet and she said it’s by appointment only and the next one wasn’t until 4: 12. I told her the man I spoke to on the phone the day before told me they could take a clinic walk in as long as it wasn’t too close to closing time. She didn’t have anything to say about that and asked if I wanted the 4: 12. I said no that I would keep refreshing the website and walked out. I then called Riverside ER and they were kind over the phone and took me in immediately. I understand the stress of COVID on healthcare workers and appreciate them, but when someone greets you politely first thing in the morning shouldn’t it give you a reason to be nice back? This lady must hate her job

I had a good experiance at this clinic. Dr. Leon Richardson provide exceptional service. I thank him very much for his medical experiance and blessing me with using that knowledge to help me heal quickly. Thank you again Dr Richardson.

Honestly, if you want to be seen quickly, this place is a good bet. If you want to get proper medical care, I'd choose elsewhere.

Staff are incredibly rude and seem to hate their jobs. This was the experience pre-COVID, so it can't be blamed on the stress of that. We've been here twice pre-COVID and once for COVID-19 testing. General lack of knowledge, apathetic attitudes, and a generally lackadaisical flow of patient care.

If it wasn't on the in-network list of providers for United Healthcare, I would have never come here. And with all of this, I'd rather take my chances of bleeding out and driving further than come here again.

Worst experience! Check in and waiting time are ridiculous! Being in healthcare myself, I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone! Ever! There are many more urgent care facilities to choose from in New Braunfels that are HAPPY to serve their patients and do so in a timely manner.

They were awesome, fast, proffesional, showed great concern for my leg infection. Got me a prescription, and followed up the next day with phone call with more concern. With an invite to quickly return if it did not get better, or got worse. Showed great respect. 5 stars from me. I would & will recommend them.

Terribly inefficient. I've been required to use this location many times for screenings. There's almost never anyone in the lobby, or just one or two people, and I still end up waiting 45 minutes to an hour. What are they doing? I see employees in the back and no patients. Unless you have lots of time, I'd suggest a different location or vendor.

The PA Joshua Stoner and the clinical staff were very kind and fast. They got me in and out. And my issue taken care of.

The website is very deceiving stating no wait…well that is farther from the truth. We chose your location because of the online appointment and its claim. We arrived 25 minutes early as directed signed in and exchanged information, There was a monitor displaying estimated time to be seen. As the time narrowed we then noticed it began to climb. So after waiting an additional 45 min from our estimated appointment time I asked the lady at the front if there was a reason we had been bumped back and if that was a true time stated we would have to wait. She was very nice and said depending on the patients which is understanding somewhat. We then called and went to New Braunfels Emergency right down the road off Rueckle/337 and I35. What a joy No wait, no false advertisement in and out in a 1/4 of the time we waited after check in at Texas Medical Clinic. Drive 2 minutes more it will save you lots of time!
