The Boiling Crab reviews
38I love their crawfish but I'm not going to lie. I was a little disappointed when they told me I had to pay for the potatoes and corn separately.
OMG! This place is fantastic! Literally everything you want if you love sea food. It is definately not cheap but so worth it! There was a little bit of a wait but once you get seated, service is great and you really don't have to wait long at all for your food.
The best sauce that we have ever tried, it's the first time that we visit here, and we'll highly recommend.
The food is sooo delicious and we are both satisfied with it, and of course, service is pretty goooooood!
This place has great customer service and delicious food. Practicing social distancing while still providing great service. Collin was a wonderful server and took his time to explain the menu and how to order. Recommend it to anyone looking for some great seafood! Everything was excellent.recommend
I don't eat any seafood (Long Story) any we took our friends who love seafood. And they had a good time. The sauce is boss here. I went straight for the XXX, and it was delightfully spicy. Which improved the taste of my chicken strips. The only alternative proteins are chicken strips and sausage. (This is a seafood place after all). We had a good time and enjoyed ourselves. Get here early because there will usually be a 30-45min wait. Parking may be an issue. Don't be afraid to park across the street by burger king. Nearly everything is served in it's own sauce bag. So roll up those sleeves and put on a bib, and dig in.
Just Don't!
Long wait for overpriced crawfish that made me sick on my second visit. Had to call in to work the next day. My boyfriend had the fried fish basket. Which he says was horrible in taste. He didn't even finish it, which says alot b/c this guy loves fired catfish. On top of that basket was super small and so were the fish.
I'm not much for sea food but this place is awesome. Had shrimp, sausage, corn on the cob and small red potatoes, with seasoning in a plastic bag. The crab was prepared the same way. We will be going back.
Why not have some text system in place for letting people know that their table is ready. With current PA system you can't hear your name being called if you waiting with large parties.
This is the only restaurant EVER that I am OK with waiting 1 1/2 to eat. 1lb of shrimp the whole shebang medium with Cajun fries DANG! Woooooo I do not mind making the drive to eat here.
The crawfish was so bland it was nasty what a waste of money. The crazy thing is ive ate here a few yrs ago and it was good it dont taste the same at all
Very chill atmosphere. Servers are great, very helpful. They don't get annoyed because you dont know what your doing since it's the first time. Very attentive, always had my drink filled. Awesome because things can get spicy.
This time was excellent. I do not recommend ever sitting at the bar. You'll starve and die of thirst. If you get a table 5 stars. Best boiled seafood. Put s Joe's Crab Shack and Papa Does to shame.
Where do I start I love this place! I've been going there for years and I introduce everybody to this place. It's the best best tasting I've eaten many places and I swear nothing compares to the whole shabang. Try the other location if your in Las Vegas also very tasty.
Worst experience I’ve had, I called the phone you listed on your site 17 times and I get no answer. I drove 13 minutes to your restaurant to find out there is a 45 minutes wait, theres about 10 employees total on a Saturday evening, and about 30 customers enjoying their meal inside and 15 people standing and waiting outside. I felt disrespected and I felt like you guys need more employees to surve your customers. I can go anywhere else and people would be more gladly to surve me and my family and appreciate their customers more.
I heard about this place from a friend months ago but had never gone. Being from Louisiana, a good seafood spot is always high on the list for places to eat. As a late bday gift.my daughter treated me to Lunch here in a Sunday. From what I know of good food and Sundays; you get there EARLY! LOL! We arrived a little after one and was seated within 30 min. The place seemed a bit smaller or more closed in than I expected. Tables for large crowds of 5 or more take up most of the floor space with booths along the walls. I don't know what this place looks like during the week but on that Sunday it was packed! Our orders came in good timing, not a long wait considering the crowd. After looking at the menus, I noticed there are no combos or "sampler" or anything that will allow you to try multiple things at once. There is also no "feast" for large groups. Everything totally separated. Usually when getting something similar to a "seafood boil" the potatoes and corn come with the meat of choice. Its all separated. Do not expect what is at Joes Crab Shack. Due to everything being separate, your bill will definitely be higher. Our group of 5 reached a little over $200 including a few beers and a coke. The food however is DELICIOUS! OMG! After biting into your crab or shrimp in whatever sause u choose. Its like heaven. Unlike JCS.this place has a Wet sauce vs a dry rub or dry seasonings. I had the Southern Crab legs, 3 potatoes and 2 ears of corn. My daughter had 2 lbs of shrimp and same sides. The crab are decent sized, not small and the shrimp are large also. So its all worth the money! I had a mild sauce with an interesting name.can't think of it but it was mild. I could barely finish the crab. The legs were very meaty and the potatoes and corn in that sauces was amazing! We were all quite for a bit.you know what that means! Lolol! Our waitress was very attentive and overall great service. The location is like a hidden gem in Garland. We were there an out a little over an hour, by then time we left them wait sad 2 hours long. That was about 3ish! I'll def have a date take me there next time in the evening to see what that crowns is like! U may not like the prices and separation of food items but after eating there.you will be just fine and will surely go back!
The food here is amazing. Long line but worth the wait. I wish there were more of this restaurant here in Dallas. This is the only one, that is why it is super packed all the time.
I do love this place. Whenever I really want seafood I go there. But only last time I went there my clams are uncooked so I was asked to server but it was still same. (My server was really nice) hopefully, next time it won’t happen. Beside that I do love this place and worth to wait for 2 hours in the car and eat it.
Tasty
This place is amazing. I had to take off all my rings and they only have one rr so that's kinda inconvenient but the food is soooooo damn good.
This was not my first time to eat at the boiling crab. They always have awesome customer service and the shrimp is the best I've taste so far I drove 2hrs just to eat there. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
When i say i left fat and full mannnn i had seafood broil with, potatoes and sausage very vey delightful shall i say
