The Canyons Apartments, Fort Worth TX

I would advise renting anywhere else before looking here unless you enjoy paying extra fees for their mistakes. Six months into my girlfriend's lease they still haven't fixed the mistake they made in setting up her online account which means she cannot pay her rent online. Every month she tries to get it fixed and every month they have a different excuse as to why they can't. Since they won't accept checks, each month she has to get them a cashier's check which this month they conveniently "lost. " Now they've charged her hundreds of dollars in late fees accrued while she was out of the country and unable to pay through the online service they claim to offer. It speaks volumes to their customer service that they would rather charge fees to residents than fix their own mistakes which led to the fees in the first place.

Best advice I can give you-just don't do it. Save your money and your peace of mind, and don't rent from this place. The management team (Shauna and Vicki, primarily) are asking for a lawsuit. Very poor maintenence here-things are always breaking down.

After nearly five months of living here, we had a very serious family medical emergency that required us to have an extra bedroom immediately. In a total panic, I called the office and explained our situation. Everyone in the office, especially the manager, was incredibly sympathetic; our need for a bigger apartment was met the same day. In one of the most stressful moments, we were grateful to know that our needs mattered. Though we enjoyed our smaller apartment, the space we're now in is even nicer. We have a fabulous view of the river, and when things settle down in our family, we'll enjoy this new location quite a bit.

Because I've now lived in two areas of the complex, I feel confident in sharing that the complex is quiet and safe. Our neighbors have been friendly and welcoming in both areas of the complex, and everyone seems to look out for each other. Aside from the office staff being so helpful in our time of need, they are a professional, friendly group. The maintenance and other staff that I see around the complex are always friendly too. The work orders I submit are always completed quickly. I definitely recommend The Canyons!

My wife and I have had a good experience living here. Its quiet, safe and conveniently located. Being on the Trinity Trail is nice too. The staff has also been responsive and helpful. I would recommend this place.

I live here and my AC has been out 3 times over the last month. I get off work after dark so they will not come fix it because it's after dark. So the apartment has to stay at 80° plus degrees all night.

Because Dennis James is dumb and this place cares only about money and nobody ever answers the night phone.

So far living here has been great! No issues with my neighbors and I've never had an issue with the staff. In my opinion the staff have always been professional. Also the work orders I've put in were completed that day. Quicker than the some of the other places I've lived. I won't comment on the other reviews but based off of my experiences here I would recommend this apartment complex to others.
