Tru Fit - Trenton, Edinburg TX

Not much has changed since Tru Fit bought out Freedom Fitness. Nice clean facility with a daycare that is convenient when the wife and kids wanna join. Prices are great and a decent amount of free weights. Lots of cardio and exercise machines. Seems like they keep up with most of the machines since i have yet to see a machine unavailable for more than 2 days. AM hours are the best times to workout since there is minimal traffic. Anytime after 5PM it gets pretty packed just like any other gym.

I admit that the people who work there are very friendly, but unfortunately some of them are not well trained when it comes to explain cancellation and contract information. I went in August to cancel my membership and one gentleman told me that in order for me to cancel I had to pay $50, but that my contract ended in November and after that I could cancel without paying the fee. I decide to keep paying $20 monthly in case I decide to go sometimes and then just cancel in October without paying $50. I go on October 26 to cancel and another gentleman tells me that since the contract is over I didn’t have to pay anything. I sign a cancelation form, he says he will turn it in and that it was it. He says that I have until November 7 to go and that I wouldn’t be charged for November. Around November 28 a lady calls me that I have to pay a $50 cancelation fee because the contract ends around June 2018. I check my account and I see that I was charged for November. I find it really unfair because they keep calling me that the monthly payments will accumulate and that I have to pay.

After becoming true fit. I noticed a strict difference and the atmosphere. The only way it can get worse is if they get rid of open 24 hours Mon thru Thur

These guys have been stealing money from me through auto pay even though I went in person LAST YEAR TO CANCEL and signed a document and everything. Your employees there are so incompetent that they would let something go like that. YOU BETTER BELIEVE I'M GETTING EVERY PENNIE BACK OR LEGAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN.

At this gymnasium, I am always greeted warmly and with enthusiasm; furthermore, they adhere well to safety precautions for our local community, and when confronted with an inquiry, they respond quickly and knowledgeably.

Attentive staff. Hasn't been toooo crowded on our visits. Clean and well maintained. Can't beat the price, especially with other health clubs in the vicinity. Childcare a plus.

Am not gonna give a one star because place is clean, and staff is friendly but its impossible to do exercises here unless is 3am, is always pack and not enough equipment, that just ruin the whole thing, going after 4pm and doing lines of 20 min to exercise for 10 or 15 min and then wait again to use another equipment, this make things impossible
