Twisted Root Burger Co. Waco reviews
32 My daughter gives this place "one billion out of ten stars". She loved her burger, the different sauces and the barrels of different pickles to try. The mushroom burger was her favorite. The specialty sodas on tap and soda of the month were also really tasty.
Check out the restrooms for Chuck Norris jokes.
The food was very good and the atmosphere was great. Our way Trish was very friendly and highly recommend this place
Oh My Gosh I loved this place. UFO burger artwork outside! I had a blast and the burgers are creative, pick any meat your heart desires. I got a jalapeno burger
The Vegan burger is great. This gives us a good place for our family both vegan and non vegan to grab a burger together. Try the fried pickles, fried green bean & carrots. Very casual, laid back.
The root beer is the best I've probably ever had! They have so many options. The atmosphere is really upbeat and the staff is really friendly. I would say this is a must if you're visiting Waco!
This place has all the right ingredients for a great grub spot, but somehow misses the mark on everything. I love that they use fresh, high nutritional value, quality ingredients in their food. I love the atmosphere inside. I love the staff who were all helpful, courteous, and happy. I don’t love that my “kale salad” contained arugula - the lettuce so gross it shouldn’t be considered edible, and the amount of arugula completely overpowered the (minimal) Caesar dressing on the salad - the chicken was perfect, though. I didn’t like that the fries are wimpy (indicative of them using fresh potatoes, which is great, but I don’t want mashed potatoes in a fry shape). I don’t like that their milkshakes have to be eaten with a spoon because they don’t have smoothie straws available, or that the chocolate milkshake barely had any chocolate. I could tell that it was made with fresh cream, which is awesome, but if I’m eating it with a spoon it may as well be a sundae. 2 big screens on the wall, one silently playing football and the other playing 80’s music videos which we were pretty ok with, at least it didn’t have the typical Texas country blaring. Overall meh. I wouldn’t go back and am glad my work was paying for this visit.
The fries were too salty, the meat was nasty tasting (like a dirty griddle) and the wheat bread was soggy. Sad because I am a burger lover. Yuck.
Very excited to go back here, awesome atmosphere. The food was awesome and the different types of pickles were interesting
First time going there was great! The food was so good and the atmosphere was nice too. I really thought it was going to be loud, but it wasn't. It was confusing when I first walked in because I didnt know i needed to walk to the back to order so I was standing there waiting like a goof XD Anyway Can't wait to go again!
I really enjoyed this visit. The atmosphere was fun and the food was great. I had the blueberry lemonade and it was fantastic. Great job guys!
So this TR looks super cool walking in. There’s projected tv on the walls, central bar, and it’s just all-around cool. I ordered the spicy goat, as that’s my usual when I go to a TR, and the guy ringing me up recommended the venison so I went for it. OH MAN. I didn’t this the burger could step it up any more but it was pretty darn good. Also, I love when a place has unsweet tea for me with no problems. The managers came around often to check on us which was really sweet.
We had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was great. The food was delicious.
When we ordered a shake, there was no communication about certain items being out of stock, and the shake arrived without some of the expected ingredients.
However, The Manager, Coleman, was very responsive to our feedback. He handled it exceptionally well.
Overall this was a wonderful experience and we will return!
Thanks Coleman
Unique business design. Food was fine except the sides did not come out hot. Great location, lots of patrons.
The best place to go for burgers in Waco! Hearty, juicy and delicious! Loved the atmosphere! Everyone there was very friendly and helpful! We'll be back!
Amazing burgers and lots of variety! Custard Shakes and your choice of burger style are definitely the way to go for first timers.
I love that the manager came over and spoke with me and my friend and offered us some suggestion for us and then came back to make sure everything was okay it was a nice Personal Touch my friend from out of town enjoyed it immensely we had a great time it was a very nice night smd the food was excellent!
Burgers are really good, fries are good. Atmosphere and service are outstanding. This is a well run restaurant that moves the line pretty quick.
Only reason for the fifth star missing is because it's not as good as Hopdoddies. But who can be?
Great burger joint! The bison burger with Swiss cheese is awesome. It’s a must stop at place when you are in the area. Wonderful atmosphere and a variety of music.
They have a vegan burger! Yes! I love burgers but being a vegetarian makes eating out difficult at times. I've still never met a place that can keep a black bean type burger to hold together and that still rings true here.
Have I mentioned there is a pickle bar? Different flavors of pickles. How does it get any better? Lots of condiments!
Great music! Music videos on the wall make me feel like a teenager again watching mtv.
Bar. Eclectic hole in the wall type atmosphere. Great place for a burger! Or vegan burger!
Truly excellent veggie burger and a constantly playing huge projection screen of 80's hair metal videos.
