There is a old lady there that is incredibly rude! Every time I have been there which is like 3 times. That old lady is griping about something. Last time we were there the weather was slightly drizzling. And while
I was inside the store about to pay her to use her gun range she stated “what are all these people doing here it’s raining I wished they would just go home” I was like wow lol if you feel that way.never been back never will. Awesome gun range. But they seriously need to get rid of the old lady that works there. If you can tolerate stupid and make it past the old lady. The gun range it self is 5 stars.

TXGunRange.com is hands down the best range around! I took my LTC range qualification there a few weeks ago and knew I’d be back soon. A lot of the other reviews mention the staff having bad attitudes but I think people are just soft. The manager/owner (Trish I believe is her name) can come off a bit abrasive but she is so sweet and friendly! I look forward to seeing her every time I’m there! The rest of the staff are great! Follow the rules and you’ll stay on their good side. If you don’t, can you blame them for being blunt and a little hostile? You likely have a firearm on hand when you’re there. Go check this place out! Put a smile on, follow the rules, and don’t be an idiot! You’ll have a blast!

Great staff. The guys helped me walk me through some steps. Been years since I've shot. Good safe environment.

Thank you so much for proving my point on how unprofessional your establishment really is. My review was not based on anything that had to with safety. We followed all the safety guidelines while we were there. What I found appalling was the way the owner spoke to a staff member while we were there and the way she spoke to her customers on the gun range. And again I just want to thank you for proving my point. Great job!

To all of you reading the reviews prior to mine, you have been bamboozled this place is amazing. The staff was comedic, helpful, down right focused on there jobs and improving the costumers experience. I was missing the broadside of the barn when I arrived, now it has a new door.

Thank you kindly, TxGunrange!

What a great time! I had never been to a gun range before today, the staff was very helpful and very knowledgeable.
What impressed me the most was that safety is the main concern.

Friendly and informative staff. If you follow all the rules that are meant for your own safety, you should have no problem.

Seriously? A 30.06 sign? You trust me to walk onto your range and shoot but I can't carry inside? Yeah, if you have any backbone you'll pass. Won't be back until they toss the sign. Go give your business to Winchester Gallery or Alpine.

Great experience. I took my teenage son for his first shooting experience and he loved it. Staff was SAFE and professional. For those people who whine about rules and not being allowed to carry on the property.you are welcome to practice elsewhere and enjoy yourself. I love the safety rules put into place by an organization determined to go home safe each night.that trumps your feelings all day long. I plan on returning many times with the rest of my family.

Read reviews, took a chance & went there. BIG MISTAKE! Upon arrival i was informed they changed their veteran policy the day before. When i protested the change manager said "if 10$ is that important to you maybe you shouldnt be at the range" rudely! I left went to Alpine, had fun, then got a Hamburger to top off a good day. VETS RULE, NO HAMBURGER 4 U!

I checked out the range a few months ago as a nearby place to sight in my rifle. I left impressed with the RO and the system they use to ensure safety on the range. Since then, I've had my wife, one of my sons and a friend all join and it's been a positive experience each time.

I'll be keeping a membership here for years to come.

Cant blame me for breaking the rules when i was FOLLOWING them your website specifically says steel jacket is allowed just no steel core. TULA is not steel core maybe learn about firearms and ammunition if your a gun range. At least other gun ranges specifically say no steel anything not just when they feel like it. Go ahead and ban me for leaving a bad review I never broke any rules and anyone with any ammunition knowledge would know I was NOT using steel core your RO's said my ammo was A-OK last time and suddenly the same guy says its not? I never argued or raised my voice cannot say the same for you.
Absolutely terrible experience from what i assume was the person in charge. I had shot just regular steel tula ammo before no problems. So after setting up the RO informs me that they are now finally enforcing the no steel ammo rule. I said ok I understand and packed up my gear and went to see if i could get a refund for the day since all I had was steel. I informed the front cashier who is a very nice lady and it was not until she called the lady in charge when it went down hill. She immediately began an unpleasant tone that the rule is all over the website and steel cased bi-metal jacketed lead core produces the same effect as an AP round apparently. So when i said that I had shot it before but its all i brought so i could not shoot any of my gear. The RO behind accused me of shooting which i will admit was like 8 rounds from my friends gun because he also went. I would have been ok with just coming back another day until such rude and standoffish behavior was shown. I never raised my voice or was nasty in any way simply made me feel like an idiot for not knowing about their sudden rule enforcement. Still a nice range and the cheapest around just did not appreciate the rude lady If i would have gotten a refund i would just have been back the next day with brass like they wanted. Plus their website says "Steel jacket *IS* allowed ONLY if it is NOT steel core! We have magnets available to test your ammunition if you are unsure". Well of course the magnet is gonna stick its a bi-metal jacket but no steel core especially not for 5 dollars at walmart.

Posted below are pictures of the infamous anti personnel ammunition with the easily deformed by my tooth "steel core"

I've been to this range several times, and I have always had an excellent experience. The last time I was there the range officer helped me zero my rifle. He went and got his own binoculars and was spotting for me. He went above and beyond. I had a muzzle flashed at me while on the pistol range and it was addressed immediately and very professionally. I love coming to this range. I can't believe some of these negative comments.

I have been looking for a regular range to go to, as my son has taken to the hobby of shooting. Last weekend I pulled into the parking lot to take my 10 yr old shooting, and my tx 30.06 app alerted me that this place was 30.06/07 enacted. I was in disbelief. I checked its validity and it was true. I am all for a fun and safe shooting environment as, especially when I'm with my family, in fact, I demand it. I can understand a range not wanting people to draw from holsters or "train" defensively, but enacting 06/07 is going a little too far. Myself and other ltc holders carrying a handgun makes the environment around me safer. For this reason, this establishment will not be getting any business from me, my family, or my friends.

I live in mansfield and I recommend shoot smart in grand prairie or defender outdoors. Both are good, don't disarm you, but The latter is a really wonderful experience, and is a great place to take the wife and kids, and very pro "hero".

Note: The owner can blame the insurance companies (he should switch companies) but we all know the truth, that he doesn't trust the demographic who is statistically proven to be less likely to commit crimes.

Too expensive for what you get. And i got the military discount which waives the 10 dollar membership fee. It's a shame because this range is 6 minutes from my house. I'll just make the drive to weatherford and pay 10 dollars an hour to be left alone to shoot how and whatever I want to.they also allow FMJ's.

Could be a really fun and great range. Going to the gun range should and can be fun and safe at the same time.

Paid and realized I forgot bolt to rifle. They (red headed owner lady) REFUSED to issue a next day raincheck or refund. NEVER even unloaded my car!
I hope this review keeps even one person from visiting tis range. Ownership is terrible!

Been a member of this range for a couple years now. I have nothing but good words and experiences. Owner and RSOs are extremely nice and maintain the safety of each shooter. I feel at home and completely in comfort that I as well as every member will leave in the same shape as they came in.

Took my LTC class with Tricia today. Such an amazing instructor. Very knowledgeable and patient. Left the class not only passing the course but also with the confidence knowing I got the most out of the course.

THANKS TXGUNRANGE for your hospitality!

Staff was very friendly, however they are posted 30.06, which is shocking to me, you want gun owner business but you alienate and disrespect the very clientele you wish to atttact by posting?
I'm also a little concerned, I've never been to a range with set back, longer distance ranges are set behind shorter distance ones? The 50 yard rifle range could VERY easily sweep and fire on the pistol range!
You set targets farther forward, not work the range seating backwards. 4 ft concrete gapped barriers is not adequate protection from potential hazards from rifles set up BEHIND shooters!
Very unsafe environment, pocket holstered range officer's should have been my first warning sign.
