Village Medical Center / Highland Woods Health reviews
23They want you to get a covid test to verify its negative before they will see you if any of your symptoms happen to also be covid symptoms. Which is nearly any symptom in the book. I recommend going elsewhere.
PA Sydney Paine helps me. She is awesome. Always quick and smart. Facility always gets new in and out quick.
I am so flabbergasted by the treatment we received from this practice and one doctor in particular. We were unable to get an appointment to see Dr Yut who we normally see, so we saw another doctor. I queried a billing charge and I, as the mom, questioned the diagnosis of the doctor who brushed my daughter off without actually listening. The result of this was an abrupt cancellation in the mail telling us we could no longer visit the practice! If I hadn't paid or caused a terrible scene I would understand but I did none of that.
I am writing this review to warn anyone not to question the doctors or else you get thrown out. That is not free rights at all. Needless to say we will find someone else.
I’ve used this practice for the past 20 years and have always been pleased with each doctor and medical professional.
Wow! I wish I could say how the Doctors are with patients but I didn’t even make it past the front desk. I have called numerous times to try to schedule an appointment but apparently there is no front desk.
Terrible service, these doctors and nurses are scared of their shadows. If you are doctors you shouldn’t be scared of diseases or medical conditions and pandemics, isn’t this what you are supposed to do? Avoid like you would avoid the Wuhan Market
It has been impossible to book an an appointment for non covid related issues. Even after testing negative they refused to see me for other conditions. I’m sure there are plenty of other practices in the area with doctors and nurses not afraid to do what they are supposed to do.
I love my Dr.s here, Dr. Walker and Dr. Marena. Most of the staff is sweet like Ms. Ryan Rock and others. Everyone is professional.
Normally Village Medical Center is very professional. However, I had a fall and hit my head and tried to get an appt and could not get a receptionist on the phone and left a voice mail and it was not returned. Did speak with office manager today she assured me she would investigate. If you have this problem plz post and we will get it fixed. Surely this is not a corp price control measure to cut staff. They are not selling candles here but treating the sick and injured!
Every visit and checkup I have at the Village Medical Center has always been a positive one for me. Dr. Walker and his nursing staff have been nothing but wonderful and super helpful to me during each visit. I couldn't recommend a more caring Doctor than Dr. Walker.
Dr. Ngo is amazing. She truly cares and wants to sit down with you to figure out the necessary next steps with whatever you are facing! Not only this but the staff is great and when I got a flu shot the nurse was amazing and I barely felt a thing!
I went for labs today with an appointment and waited 40 minutes past my appt time. Every time I go to this location, the wait time is a minimum 30 minutes past the appointment time. I am not dissatisfied with the care provided, but if they can't stay on schedule, they need to change their processes.
Doctors are great and listen to my concerns. On the other hand, the front office staff could use some personnel replacing. Been trying to get in contact with someone to see why my referral to a specialist hasn’t gone through. Called multiple times, left multiple voicemails and not one response.
Dr Yut and his nurse Jennifer are great, the rest of the place is not very good! Always have to call numerous times to get somebody on the phone. Totally agree with the other reviewers, front office staff is not friendly or professional. Maybe a good idea to change them, or at the very least teach them some customer/patient service skills. It is your business card Village Medical Center!
This place is a JOKE! The doctor tells me that she will work with me during my initial visit and then refers me to a specialist after labs confirm the exact thing my previous labs that I took with me and reviewed with her showed. So now I've lost two whole weeks in the process and now I have to start all over trying to find another doctor.
We see NP Megan Craig for our infant daughter and have had multiple well and sick visits. There's Always a minimal wait time. Megan really takes her time observing our daughter and going over the situation. We never feel rushed and have plenty of time for questions. She was especially helpful during the first few weeks of my daughter's life, encouraging us new parents and supporting breastfeeding. I appreciate the extended hours of the practice and their willingness to fit us in. The nursing staff is very sweet as well. I definitely recommend Megan for pediatric care - her passion for babies is unmatched!
The front staff was very terrible. If I can give a zero, I would to. My insurance was inactive, so I had to call my husband to figure out. The front staff said to me if my husband couldn’t come back right now. She had to reschedule. How terrible she is. I will not come back again. I have seen someone complained about the front staff. You need to consider about that or you are going to loose customers!
Just tried giving these guys another chance and I'm regretting it. The staff is condescending and unprofessional. Beyond that, the doctors make you feel rushed and devalued.
I went for a routine physical and like always I had to pay my co-pay before being seen. The physical exam went as normal. The PA that saw me forgot to give me the prescription before I left. I had to come back and ask for and waited to track her down to get it. I just went to another doctor appointment 1 mth later and was told I had a past due payment for discussing things outside my physical. I thought my physical encompasses everything about health. This person is hungry money instead of thinking about the patient 1st.
Have been using this place for my entire family for years. Recently made an appointment for my son, had to cancel it due to school schedule conflict. They charged me $40 cancellation fee, even higher than my copay, was told nothing they can do. I have cancelled appointments in the years, never heard this cancellation fee before. Now they just lost my entire family, won't use them again.
Schedule an appointment due to a sickness and my regular doctor wasn’t available. I was scheduled with Dr. Meredith Young for 3 pm. Arrived around 3: 02 pm and was not greeted by the receptionist. I signed in and sat down. After 20 minutes, the receptionist checked me in. Was taken to the back around 3: 30 and left in the room. Not once did anyone state the doctor was running late or is behind; nothing. After waiting until 3: 50 pm, I came out the room and asked what was going on and when will I be seen. The nurse I encountered stated there was another individual ahead of me and I would be seen after them. I then decided to cancel my appointment and go elsewhere. I have never seen such a poor display of patient service or regard. I do know not all the doctors at this facility are bad, however this incident took the cake. Never again.
