YMCA at O.P. Schnabel Park reviews
31The youth sports programs are not good at all. The referees, staff, and director cassandra cushing do not listen to any concerns and they insist they are right no matter what the facts and truth are. I'm not going to get into the situation because it's a long story. This place makes me sick.
Winter volleyball has been well-organized and inclusive of all skill levels for our 10 yr old daughter. The program is family-oriented.
I love that the YMCA is a family oriented place. Everyone is so kind and helpful too. My son loves the kid’s club and the kids classes that they offer as well. I can’t believe we never joined sooner.
This is such a great YMCA! My children love the daycare teachers and children who regularly come here! The staff are very kind and helpful. We love it here! You will too!
The Y offers a variety of group classes with energetic & dedicated trainers. This is a family friendly gym with welcoming staff. I also have my son enrolled in youth sports, at a discounted rate, since we are members!
The place is always clean. Friendly and helpful staff, and a great variety of classes, as well as a rock climbing wall and a huge room full of exercise equipment. There's always something fun to do with the whole family.
I like everything about this gym except it's a bit pricey. I think for the two of us it's around $80/month.
Everyone is so friendly
And the instructors are fun and encouraging!
Love the water aerobics!
+Family friendly
+child watch included (limited hours)
+friendly staff
+not intimidating
-not open very late (because it is in a public park)
-could use some more floor space but it is adequate.
First of all, your sports managers and staff are great! And second you offer help to those who can not afford to pay for soccer. It really means a lot to our family to be able to play sports in a safe environment. My children have so much fun with their new friends and look forward to practice and game days! We love the YMCA and are very grateful)
So far so good. The staff have been really nice and friendly. They helped my kids on the rock wall. The facilities are clean and updated. Price is great as well.
Love it
Getting a membership is one of the best things we have done. Our family is staying fit and much much more.
So worth it
Our entire family is active and engaged at the Y. We appreciate the kids’ programs, the variety of equipment to use, and the group exercise courses offered. Looking forward to the summer and enjoying the pool and splash pad. Overall a great facility and excellent staff!
I went to summer camp here for the first few weeks of summer. Terrible. The staff were really rude and they don't even care about the safety of their kids. We went biking one day, and they didn't even have us wear helmets which is a big safety hazard. I ended up getting into a biking accident and my mom took me out immediately.
Facility was nice. And as I talk to the coordinator who was helping me name (Lauren) I had explained to her that it was a bit pricey for me at the moment and I only want to try it out for the month! She agreed with me completely at the time. Due to the times available for daycare they were just not a match for my schedule. I had called and confirmed with somebody over the phone that I would not be going again. I only went the one time.repeat I only went one time! And paid for the month. (I was convinced that I would not be on a monthly withdrawal on the time of signing up!) or I would have not done so! Here it is March and I just received a bank statement saying that they had charged me the last 2 months as well.called to try and talk to somebody about it, it ends up that it is only my loss so I am now out $160! Thanks Lauren! Im
Very displeased!
Ok I'm pissed! That's 4boxs of pampers! Thanks Lauren!
My wife and I have been going to the gym here for months now and it is one of most well maintained clean gyms you will find in town. It is small but they have all the equipment I need. The day care for babies (<18 months) is outstanding and my daughter has had nothing but good experiences so far. The daycare ladies are great with her and the facilities are always clean and organized. I don't worry about her when she's there. I highly recommend the Y for moms of small children who need time to work out!
The gym is well maintained and there are plenty of machines and free weights, so there’s never a long wait (even during peak times). VERY friendly and helpful staff, too!
If you’re thinking about going to this place for child care I do not recommend it. At least if you’re kids fall in to the >18 month old class. Every time I go there I’m working out no longer than 15 minutes and get called to say they can’t stop getting him to cry. But it seems like they really don’t try hard at all to get him to stop. As in his diaper will be wet even tho I usually change him before still it just seems they don’t try very hard to let parents work out. It totally sucks getting your kid ready packing up and coming out here just for 10 minutes. I will say Jesse is the best one but she just isn’t always there.
Lots of programs, great classes, not overcrowded, reasonable membership pricing and corporate discounts, clean facility, helpful staff
Great place focusing on faith and giving back to the community. People are friendly and respectful.
