Ideal Plumbing Heating Air Electrical

We have used Ideal for over 20 years for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. They are professional and extremely responsive to our needs. They do quality work and stand behind it. They recently replaced our ancient HVAC system with a modern high efficiency model. They made sure we received the maximum rebates possible. They spent a lot of time tweaking it to make sure it met our expectations. Our home is much more comfortable than it was before and our energy use has fallen dramatically.

I was disappointed with Ideal. I recently contacted Ideal for a clogged sink drain. During the initial phone conversation I was asked the type of residence I lived in and steps if any I had taken to unclog the drain. I told them I lived in a three story townhome and the kitchen sink was on the second floor and I had used Drano in an attempt to eliminate the clog. After this conversation I was told about a $99 unclog special Ideal had and I set the appointment. When all was said and done Ideal charged $290 to Unclog my drain, stating that the clogged drain was on the second floor with no street level access and that I had created sludge with the Drano. The Drain is unclogged (Thank you), but I would caution anyone about thinking the $99 special is actually going to be the cost. I did have a discussion with the manager about this practice, but was only given $15 off (another special they are running) and the manager said she couldn't believe a 12 year employee didn't tell me all the disclaimers on the $99 special. This is a shame, I was actually looking for someone to do some work on the HVAC system and wanted to see what the outcome of the clogged drain service would be.
